Dr. Grubb, I love you saved my life many years ago and taught me how to live with this condition. I haven't seen you in many years but your teachings still keep me healthy and living as I age it's worse and I would love to see you again but travel is out for me now. Sorry to hear about your wife, she was well loved and respected. My wife passed away also in 08. She loved your work and was fascinated by it. God bless you and your talent God has given you.

Thankyou so very much for this extremely informative session. I am an international subscriber and find your channel very helpful in understanding EDS and it's multitude of comorbidities, of which I have many, myself. One thing that maybe helpful for many of us would be to subtitle these sessions.

There are several different types of POTS medications, but what works for one POTS person might not work for another POTS patient. Sometimes it takes time and trying different medications until the best one can be found for each patient.
That said, Pyridostigmine is an emerging repurposed POTS medication which is currently being studied to treat exercise intolerance. Other POTS medications include Ivabradine, Guanfacine, Clonidine, Atenolol, or Propranolol. Your best bet is to find a good doctor who is willing to look at all of the options and work with you to find the treatment option that fits you best as a unique individual.

Inbreeding is very much overlooked as a cause for EDS. Alpha tryptasemia, tryptase gene duplication must often be from inbreeding, because how likely is it to inherit extra copies from both parents hailing from different regions? that's like getting sickle cell anemia, one from west africa, one from southern India, it's unlikely. Also autism and other modern ills. Genetic diversity is lacking during population explosions. Look at china, most of the people descend from Ghenghis Khan, low level of genetic diversity, billions of people. People get offended when i mention this, but I have POTS, EDS so it's not an insult. All blonde hair blue eyed Europeans have a common ancestor and most of the time, the parents are from the same cit.

Well, sherlock, how do you explain my child having autism AND hEDS AND POTS? I'm of European descent and my husband is from the Philippines. So, uh, no, no similar genetics at all.
