It is a positive sign that Alton Towers are continuing with their sparkle project, they need to do it, as for a long time the park was neglected. If they continue with the sparkle project and put in the flat rides as well as projcet horrizon we could see a return to Alton Towers heydays.
Flambards Park in Cornwall have sold their Thuderbolt ride and their Waveswinger, I wonder if Alton Towers have bought them for this season or maybe next season. I would really love to know who has bought them. Alton Towers have lost 5 flats over the years so they really do need some replacements and quickly as they no longer have the fairground rides apart from the Twister, ques are going to get really busy this year if they have nothing. I dont think the Ocean Project will be finished by summer. They have the empty spaces ready for rides.
I think it is a great idea to do garden and towers tours, it is something i would be interested in. I think they need to have guides for health and safety reasons. I do think its a bit cheeky to ask people to pay extra if they have already had to pay an entrance fee to get in, that is asking people to pay twice its like asking people to pay for a ride when they have already paid to get in, they did it with the Dungeon ride and no one would pay it, I think its a bit greedy of Merlin. If they make a lot of money from this they should put it to restoring more of the historic garden features and the manor itself. If the manor was in a better state of repair they could actually use it to hold concerts and things the same with the bandstand.
