Don't hold your breath waiting for an update from Asus to address the heat issue; they're not just known for not fixing bugs, they rarely acknowledge they even exist. I stopped buying anything Asus years ago, as every product I've owned had problems. Sometimes they were minor and due to lazy design and execution on hardware, but sometimes they were product ruining and included major bios bugs on motherboards that were ignored and never addressed. I feel bad for the 7 series Ryzen motherboard owners who had their expensive CPUs destroyed by Asus' negligence in voltage settings. Hopefully they'll see that Asus was more concerned with trying to cover it up than making it right for their customers and take that lesson to heart. Garbage company imo.

Thanks for stopping by!
Asus spent more budget on the RGB lighting / looking , but forgot heat & high power usage
My Asus B650 Mobo already over-voltage my CPU from 1.25v to 1.4v (Ryzen 7700x)
Asus always goes for over-voltaging - OC their hardware, either it's Mobo, GPU, Handheld..whatever they make
Probebly gonna wait for Steam deck 2 in 2024 (cheaper, powerful, built better..etc)
It's so painful watching you snap phones and stuff in half like they're french fries, I love it
Is this Ally a preview unit or retail? Interested to know if the retail buttons differ internally? I've had no issues getting the buttons stuck even when I try, but I know the review units had a reported problem which they said they'd fixed (but I'm not sure I believe them).
Every time i watch your video's testing durability i hype myself up and say i can get to the end this time, however, it physically hurts me when you scratch up and break apart an expensive new gadget which i would make laat easy beyond the security updates provided. I used my Huawei phone 5 years for instance and it's still my backup phone.
Edit:
I did it!!! I finally watched it till the end, probably because you actually put it back together again, thank you so much❤
I’m just thinking about how staff at electronic stores would act if you turned this in with their “accidental protection plan warranty”
Esta es la mejor prueba de calidad que he podido visualizar que algun creador de contenido le pudiera hacer a un hardware.
"Since we cant acess the insides with violence, let's try a more methodical move" 6:22 🤭🤭🤭💀
I juat ordered one from BestBuy, i felt pretty nervous because i did it pretty hastily. This video made me feel a little more confident.
I hope people start making clear back plates for these like people have for the steam deck!
Jerry made me cry because i always wanted an ROG Ally and he is just tearing it apart
What are u into these days then if not Asus?
I have a "cheap" $599 asus laptop from 2017 and 2 months ago i decided to clean it , change the thermal paste, and upgraded the ram. It's purposefully made to be painful to repair.
@@IslamistSocialist371 well, you definetly not taken apart a macbook(MB Pro 15" retina 2015 mid). You need a pentalobe p5, and a t5 torx screwdriver. On the cover you have 2 different lenght P5 screws, inside you have 10 different length T5 screws just to remove the motherboard for cleaning and reapply the thermal paste. If you mess up the screws in the inside, you can even damage the internal parts below the motherboard.
I totally understand the motive to crush the device for review purpose but these devices are made to love.
@3:02 Come on man! Please set a better example of knife safety in the future.
8 million subs dude!? Congrats on that. That's an amazing feat.
They could've avoided the button issue just by making the buttons long enough to not slip under the shell
so much good a advance tech out there i don't know what to choose.
I think all devices should come with spare parts, especially when these spare parts cost a few cents at most in production.
Bruh what shut the hell up
Watching your videos really hurts my soul, bit I still like them very much :)
I ALMOST bought one of these, got a gaming laptop for the same price instead
I did the same, bought one and was like I just spent 800 for this and I can get a great laptop for the same. I get the convince of this but it's not for everyone.
I'd rather get a steamdeck than ROG ALLY. Have had bad experiences with asus
I did the opposite almost bought a gaming laptop and bought one of these
@@HildaWasTaken My last 2 PC's have had Asus parts. I have issues with there software
@@HildaWasTaken different strokes for different folks, I didn't want a dedicated gaming device ya know
5:48 even the console says "Oops!" 😂
Did I miss something or why is the vid in another language?!?!?
I thought it was just me
@@mrwealthyhobo I thought I messed up something in the settings 🤣🤣🤣 but hey is always interesting listening to other languages 😁
You have to watch in private browseing mode. RUclips Bug.
@@JustATempest thank you for the answer 🫡
"They keep snapping in half" proceeds to make pressure enough to break a finger. Not even an iphone would resist that😂😂😂😂
😂😂 Hindi dubbed so funny 🤣
Thank you for telling me
i wanted one. i never had a handheld. You tearing this apart makes me cry.
Are other people not being able to change the language from hindi?
It kinda hurts how jerry roast the mobile ROG series as an fanboy. But those test are very important to know the limits of ur device and how careful you have to be. Tumbs up for that! xD
It was the right joy stick RGB you forgot to plug in. :) love your videos!
every video of this man hurts like hell this guy is the thanos of tech
6:50 Bestagons! You got my like right there
Thank you for being one of the few reviewers who say the name "ROG" correctly
Thank you for doing the dirty work for all of us.
"personally I like to buy two and break both" got me lol
I cant help but smile at the fact you destroy the outside of the device but then gently take out the tech inside 😂
happy birthday to you jerryrig🎈🥳🎂🎉
Love from India really love this channel 🎉
😂😂😂. Tear down and custom it and very loved your content
Any chance of using a thermal camera to actually show the heat issue rather than just saying it's so. I mean it'd really help to understand if it's a issue and how much if so.
8:36 Thermal pads directly attached to the metal housing a cooling fan. Never seen that before...
Jerry Rig for president lesgoo🤌🏻
I just bought an ROG Ally just on Friday and I’m loving it. Aside from the battery life and 512 GB, speed and performance is really good
How does it compare to steamdeck??
