You’re a superb communicator. Using your videos, I was able to successfully build a high performance gaming PC 1st try…as a 62-year-old geezer!
well done mate, enjoy
You’re no geezer!
well done man!
That’s awesome! 🎉
Is it for your grandson?
It's wild that half the budget of a $2000 build is the GPU nowadays
I mean NVIDIA has like 96% profit margin on their H100 GPUs, no wonder they want big profits from their gaming division as well.
you can always go for used parts
@@woKenVFX Yeah there's some great value on the used market at the moment
This is the result of a monopoly looks like alongside a squirt of inflation.
Man we had such a good deal from Pascal. As much as I love my 1070 it’s ready to be handed down
Finally give this man the million subs. With the quality he always delivers while remaining true to the Mini ITX narrative - would be absolutely deserved!
If only the component choice was anywhere nearly as good as the video production
@@Knaeckebrotsaegeor the price even remotely accurate
at 1 million he will build a pc into the play button
@@zuberilolI literally added up everything on Amazon minus the T1 and it came out to ~$1800 plus $189.99 for case and that’s $2000
He got it now.
The production value on these videos is just insane.
the power of Apple
For the last time: APPLE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! Yes Apple is well optimized and stuff, but he’s just a very skilled editor (or has one)
Apple is pretty good tho. His videos r so satisfying and the lighting effects are really well layed out. These pc buulds r so satisfying.
have you tried to come up with something new?
Really half the reason I watch these. Great build ideas and also super satisfying quality videos.
I see Optimum upload I click, it’s that simple
Same
I just found this channel loving the videos
Facts
And like
he never disappoints
Most underrated PC channel, the effort put into the editing down to the actual video topic is top tier. 2nd from LTT for me, 3rd Nexus for sure. Awesome seeing a fellow Aussie make it on RUclips ❤️🇦🇺
yeah sadly the desc too, ive written many tips and insider stories, think only insiders/google staff can read
was very spoiler heavy but i edited them abit, eventually that didnt matter lul
Under rated by whom?
Underrated? He has a million subs 💪
I love how Opti will add a little fan spin in basically every build vid, its like a cool little easter egg/his signature
Superb quality as usual, and get that 1 mil sub mark that you deserve a lot more than some other "bigger" channels.
That's a beautiful and fast system anyone would love on their desk. Job well done!
I bought the case and new components... you did this to me optimum!!!
Thank you for the video. I'll be using it as a reference in 20 or so days, much love!
How's temperature?
@weightycarlos Not bad, I used Optimum's video on undervolting ryzen 7000 series which helped a lot. The case is also like 80% perforated steel, so with 2 exhaust fans at the top, the CPU never gets over 70C; even rendering 4k video or image upscaling/denoising.
The GPU is bottlenecking the CPU (waiting for rtx5000), so the GPU gets to ~90C the odd time with 100% utilisation.
Overall, actually better thermal performance than my old nzxt H510 with literally double the performance. I'm a happy man!
@@browner1873 90 degrees is insanely high for 4080 super
On youtube, there are numerous ppl doing the same thing, but this man here, has been single handedly in charge of small factor pc building on youtube, for years.
I just love your videos!!! Thank you for your work 😊
personally one of the best tech and gaming youtubers, amazing video and sound quality man great job
Optimum drops a vid and as always a smart and tasteful build appears on screen.
Damn that case is another thing of beauty. I'm looking at my MasterCooler NR1 and getting envy.
I would not be into ITX builds without your channel. Completed my first (and current) in the Meshilcious. Couldn't be happier with the outcome coming form ATX. Now I'm back for inspiration on the next build!
Lovely build that. That case looks so damn satisfyingly to piece together! Out of my price range for just a case, but I can't hate on it, it's lovely.
Great idea to click the mouse as a sound reference while recording the fan sound - it's hard on videos to get a feel for how loud fans are. Great frame of reference, brilliant
Love The Build Keep Up The Good Work
I love your work and you discover new things so amazingly
the main reason i like this channel isnt the great production quality or the content, but the fact that these videos arent drawn out past 10 minutes just to get double the ad revenue. which is pretty rare to see.
mad respect for that.
So if he decided to stretch the video by just a minute you’d lose all respect? Lmao 😂
@@mostlysunnytx6937not all but a lot of it
The funniest part about this is that it’s now 8 minutes four double ad revenue, which fully contradicts the statement 😂
@@smaxfpv1337 well fuck me. since when?
anyway, i think like half his videos are still under 8 minutes which kinda prove he isnt extending his videos to fill a quota.
@@alex_oimannews flash buddy. 99% of the RUclipsrs that do make videos like this often do it full time and NEED to go past a certain threshold. Blame RUclips, if they removed the threshold then people would have a lot more creativity and freedom.
Don’t blame the people that spend 1000s to get the camera equipment, come up with ideas, buy new computers to test and more. I would be surprised if they didn’t go past the 8-10 minute mark, free money?
Thank you for the first section overview of case assembly! I have a Formd T1 inbound now (through their recent change in ordering), and will be transitioning a 12400 / Gigabyte Z690I from a case disappointment (Mjolnir) hopefully fairly soon.
What went wrong with Mjolnir?
@@MrEstarion the the metal side panels all warped over time, causing the single magnets in each panel to no longer make contact. The bottom panel air filter also delaminated from the frame.
@@StreamingNomad Damn.
I see Optimum upload, I click, I learn, I enjoy. perfect tech channel, been watching since 90K
Miss your mini itx videos and builds, we need more!
Just watched your Mute Episode 3 from 5 years ago. 717 likes. You've come a long way. Congrats! Also, you're not super pale anymore.
Great vid as always man!!
True
Next, I think lots of us, want a budget build, small like this and the other ones you make. BTW great content, i love it!
yeah like 800€ less
+1
do the same stuff he does in the video but just with cheaper gpu
small builds are generally not budget because the components themselves are gonna be more expensive
@@ponkotuuIt's always unintuitive to me that ITX is so expensive. You'd think smaller parts would be cheaper because of less material used, but that's not the case.
There's a uniqueness about these ITX builds that i love. Really has a charm to it.
Yooo new optimum video. Not as often as I’d like but I’m always here for them
optimum it would be so cool if you were to include some b-roll of airflow visualization through the case with fog generators or smoke! just an idea :)
it's a good day when optimum uploads
Thank you so much for this video. It has helped me immensely in my first ever PC build with formd t1 case and 4080 super gpu.
Amazing video as always! Much love from the UK
wake up, optimum posted another itx build!
I feel like every video from this dude is a 10/10
He keeps things simple but executes each piece flawlessly. Sound, lighting, script, video. So well done.
Wow what an amazing build! You're videos are always amazing what you fit into a tiny space! I've done 2 builds over the past 5 years using youre ideas that always work very well!
Good job optimum and straight to the point. No making tea or coffee bullshit
I like the rewind editing stiile at the beginning.Neat.
All his edits are great

Crazy build looks absoulutely clean
I'm trying to make the transition from a big case like Lian Li O11 to something like this one presented in your video. Optimizing space is a priority as I get older so thank you for this video. It will surely be an inspiration for my next small case build.
With each and every video, you raise the bar across the entire industry of content creators. Keep it up and let nobody hold you back, mate. It's absolutely brilliant. You're my all-time favourite channel!
I upgraded from a 12400f to a 13600k. Playing "competitive" games on 1440p made that well worth it. I personally feel that a 14400 and a 4080 Super are not a good match. Additionally, I think I'd rather be GPU bottlenecked than CPU bottlenecked.
that's fair, the 7600x would have been faster (i think) so if you wanted to use this build for 1440p, it could have been better with a 7600x. However, I would argue that most people building 2000 dollar PC's are playing at 4k, where the cpu matters less. I have a build with a 7600x and a 7800xt and I am not having any bottleneck issues at 1440p and pairs well with my 240hz monitor. (the pc build cost me 1650 dollars). It is arguable that for 2000 dollars a 7700x and 7900xtx build would have had better price to performance, but hey, some people prefer nvidia for good reason. Have a good day :)
Having 5ghz on a 14400F will still negate many bottleneck overhead though
would one need to consider different cooling for cpu when replacing 14400F with 14600K?
@@kristjankuresson3920 I did, going from a 12400 to 13600k after a while. But I was on an L9i 65 watt cooler. If you have a cooler capable of at least 90 watts, you're probably fine while gaming. If you're currently exceeding 70 degrees on your 14400f, I think you need to upgrade the cooling or play with Power Limit and undervolt, while still accepting 80' ish degrees.
Will the cpu in the build he made in the vid bottle neck?
another amazing high quality video, super informative and clear 🔥🔥
love seeing some SFF PC videos. My dream case is still the Velkase Velka 3. one day
From NCASE: "Based on recent customers' feedback, the Gigabyte B760I and B650I may not operate in PCIe 4.0 mode when paired with our PCIe 4.0 Riser or other available PCIe 4.0 Risers." Any other MB recs?
fr keep me posted as well
Any updates on this?
All these years later and the FormD T1 is still king.
Try as they might, big companies like Fractal try to copy and fall flat on their face.
shame it's only available in black!
Depends on where you get it from since the owners split. The OG designer latest model is still the v2.1 and they have titanium and two-tone white in stock (fmdworks) as of this comment. The v2.5 is cheaper but slightly lower build quality now that it’s manufactured by Ncase.
I wish this was more clear for new customers making a purchase decision.
@@StatikXero I had no clue, thanks for this.
@@StatikXero do you not recommend the Ncase one? I'm trying to get my hands on one of these but they're scarce.
I guess my comment got deleted.
Short answer is no.
Spend the extra ~$25 and the restock time is worth the wait.
a beast ITX build from Optimum felt long overdue. LETS GOOO
This channel has grown so much. Gratz
I've built a pc with the T1 before and had awful temperatures, ended up going back to my old mid tower
makes me wonder what I've done wrong.. I had less powerful components than this build..
This would be $1500 if GPUs had reasonable pricing
I will probably never be able to build such setup but I love watching these videos, probably because of the production quality. There's something special about these clean looking compact build. And I love the 4080, 3080 more than the the other models, has nice ring to it. Will try to build this type of system 6yrs down the line, If the personal economy favors the purchase.
The builds are insane. I love watching all these different builds you do.
There's no Tracer in this video :(
Why do you like small things ?
?
I like the way the white RGB ram shines through. Very cool and subtle.
Thx as always 4 the build vid Ali... 👍😎
1 view in 12s. Bro fell off 😔
Incredibly condensed build. I love it!
If its Optimum, you know the vid is gonna be clean. Although would like to see an ATX build in the future❤
It's crazy how good itx cases have gotten. I didnt want to do too much work on my build plus I wanted my 4090 to have some extra air to breathe so I followed your nr200p max build from a while back. But now we have even smaller cases like this or the terra which are even smaller and still cool the highest end components.
I had a plan to replicate your previous one (with 3D printed component), but this one is really tempting
Top notch vid, ive literally been looking for a clean all black minimal gaming pc , i really want to get a pc this year , thiiis case is runner up
Dang, this is my dream PC. It's taking me forever to save up though! optimum is defo the best tech channel in Australia!
I remember when APC did loads of build guides. I still pick 'em up from time to time, but the magazine became more generic after a while, and lost it's focus on PC build "Masterclasses". (my favourite bit) Similar to when Motor closed down and merged with Wheels... Still a great magazine all the same! AE is a great editor. I feel like this channel is the replacement to the old APC for me. AND it's in Australia, AND the video quality is always top-notch. I do photography and videography, and appreciate all of the work you put into these.
The reason I need a new computer is actually because my potato level Surface Pro 8 (8GB RAM 11th Gen i5), simply cannot handle much more than 8 photos in Lightroom ... forget video-editing/Blender/CAD, all of which happen to be things I like to use! Storage is also an issue, lol.
dude watching your video is so relaxing
i just love the T1. Amazing case.
Studio looking CLEAN 👀
Almost the exact build I've been planning!
Love the varied content, but man I really miss itx videos like this.
the only youtuber i have post notifications on for ❤
Pretty much my dream pc 🤤
I think I’ll build one like this once I have enough money, thanks for the idea:)
Watching this on my T1 V1.1 here. First ITX build and so happy with it
Watching on my Note 8 Phone, but I uave the v2.1, and same exact gpu model in this video too, paried with a 7700x, It's a nice case, and a lot of power too!
Id love to see one of these with no trade offs. Just the best PC you could build in the ITX case
That's a really nice build & video, I would like to suggest if you could do gaming headset reviews as I trust your reviews very much, would appreciate that
note: there was a drama between 2 creators of the t1 and one of them collab'ed with ncase to create the v2.5 and apparently its slighty worse than the v2.1 (OG) that is still being sold by the other guy right now
Yeah I was going to ask was there not some drama surrounding this case 🤔
Also heard that the 2.1 is somewhat superior to the 2.5?
@@Casmael01 yea, i heard that ppl been having issues with the qc on the v2.5
they need to sort that out. seems really bad for business
It seems like the v2.5 bashing on Reddit is quite unjustified. As far as I can tell from this and previous build videos, wether you go the “original” v2.1 or the v2.5 route, they’re both top quality products.
@@Druskqq I wouldn’t say unjustified. Excessive maybe.
The quality of the 2.5 is subpar for a $190 case. Also, NCASE’s obvious sabotage of the OG T1 sales is bad business.
After watching your videos for a while now, I finally joined the SFF cult and ordered a FormD T1. I have to say I love it and don't think I will ever go back. I transferred my existing Strix 3080 and 12700k. The strix has such little clearance haha, I think it's 319mm or something like that.
the amount to value you can get with these parts for $2000 is amazing the total for me was oney $1815 thx for the build!
Great video i like this case . It has only 2 exhaust fans which at first i thought is bad but then i realized that it means potentially less noise and all input air will be sucked in by negative pressure through that mesh anyway and you get smaller case once again ! Cool
Such a clean build, wish I could buy it off you!
This is just what I was looking for. Time to build a pc!
I just love your content. ive been watching for a while and want to do the same stuff as you but dont have the budget.
i love flatpack cases, they're my new favourite thing icl
Dude, this thing looks like my UPS for MY PC, sick build
This video is great! I would love to build a mini pc like this one one day.
Going to build something similar to this, ty for the inspo 🥰😘
I use a gaming laptop, and I've thought of going back to building PCs again. I liked my gaming laptop because it was a space saver, and now that I see that a mini gaming PC is viable, I'll definitely shoot for a build like this!
I always loved that with a PC, you could always upgrade parts easily, not so much with a laptop
I realy love your Videos. They are never disappointing
I still have the last similar build you did and still amazing
Everytime I see your vids I just think how your videos look soooo aesthetic everytime.
I just click on the thumbnail automatically.😂👍
This is the perfect PC build. Very nice !
Wow, That case is absolutely beautiful.
Best part about this case that it comes flat packed, I have a few of these in my closet and they don't take up much space. I have a problem buying high end cases like many others.
nice! my last build was inspired by your NCase M1 build... this will be my next.
Form is a very interesting build. Working on my third version now.
Clean build
The editing in these videos is next level
Awesome video, would be really cool if these we're timestamped but I appreciate it's extra work.
Man optimum just does the best videos no matter how you put it.
