I always spend a bit of my daily drum time solely dedicated to rudiments because I feel like they're almost like the drum alphabet and give an endless amount of possibilities once combined with the different voices of a kit so I found this video while not overly complicated to be pretty cool and I hope to see more from you
Holy shit man!, it’s 2024!, look how young you were!! Did you ever think that 8 years later you would have met so many drum greats and be as epic as you are today?!!
Can you please List your amazing sounding cymbals in this Video. I think in General drumeo should List used Equipment in The Details section. Thanks :) cool Video aswell
Nothing saying you can't do that. But the single strokes will give it a more rigid sound, as well as use a ton more energy. Investing the time into practicing it RLRRLL will work up your double note chops. That pattern right there is one of the most useful around the drum kit.
Why oh why doesn't Jared use the same teaching method here as he does in the successful drumming training pack? He doesn't give a super slow example and R and L are not used in his notation. Kudos!
As a bass player it's really annoying when the drummer seemly randomly goes into triplets. Also playing the kick on the "and", make sure he knows what you're doing.

Very cool having a student show what some of the stuff he learned. And of course this is a good lesson

Best part for me? The Dream Theater shirt :D
wooooooooow Brandon has come a long way!
The best drum kit on Drumeo, or ever for that matter! I have a Sonor Sonic Plus II made in Germany myself!
Nice my man. Cool you're working for Drumeo already. Keep it up!
You deserve a glass of water! Thanks for the lesson mate!
Excellent! I like #4 and 5. I suppose that they could be combined to some degree for when a song "ending" goes improv.
That's cool because you show slowly how you hit !
Great job man. This was one hell of a good lesson huh?
Nicely done Brandon!

I was just jamming!
+CHWKovers ok sounded Really good
I love this lesson.
Very cool ideas!
Very good DRUMEO!!
Cool lesson !!
Nice video. Non-drumming question: Are you related to Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks?
I will listen to someone wearing a DT shirt!
If you guys show us a basic beat on the snare or a practice pad. Ive looked up beats multiple times but i cant find one. I know you guys can make one
You invent the beat
on the second fill, can you also just to rlrlrlrl instead of rrllrrllrrllrrll on the snare? or is there a specific reason you do double strokes?

John Laco awesome thanks
#3: most rudimental drummers call that the inverted paradiddlediddle because a 6 stroke roll is much different in PAS notation
I'm aware this is an old comment but I would always call them gats

Slightly rushing the paradidledidles a little. But other than that, good job.
Sup boy
He's now my favorite teacher. But needs to be more fluent and less "professional" sounding I think.
Not exactly rudimentary!
