- This is my favorite theme of true stories, so I thought i'd do another one. But finding another three that were actually decent? Not a fun time... I think there was a missing line somewhere in this video, must have edited it out by mistake. I don't want to point out where it was as it would be a spoiler, but i'm sure you'll pick up on it. I can't believe the actions of some of these bosses. My former boss would always make sure us drivers came back from delivering pizzas safely. My strangest delivery has to be the time where the doorbell was blocked by first a gate and then a guard dog, and I couldn't get a hold of the customer trying to call them so I called my boss and told him what was happening. He instructed me to come back and not worry about that suspicious order. All he cared about was the safety of his employees, and I really wish all managers were like that.
Your situation is different though because there was no way to get pass through the gates.
Them pizza place bosses care only about money, but who doesn't these days? It's not worth getting killed for a few bucks even if the boss says "just do what the customer wants." Well the boss's ass isn't on the line but yours is.

I've seen a guy so high that he managed to put food in the microwave but never turned it on and forgot about it. In the process, he left the freezer open a little. When you're working minimum wage, a $1 raise means a lot! I worked as a stockboy in a pharmacy once which started as $9. When I was raised to $10, it felt amazing! I'm making wayyy more at my current job now so that was peanuts when I look back on that job but still felt good to get that raise.
