I had my tires slashed while in my room and playing video games with a headset on and I could hear the loud pop of air releasing from my tire at the initial puncture of the knife. If you are that close to your car then there is no way you wouldn't hear all 4 tires being slashed open.
If someone reports a culprit who is, homeless, not unique looking or not many details about them, then the police can't really do much. The culprit will obviously escape the police, get out of that location, too average looking to stand out from others in town, so trying to follow up with police is just a waste of time. Police will send u back home telling they'll let u know if they found out something.
I happen to recognize the story at 8:28. My girlfriend worked at a pizzeria and her manager used to talk about a driver being ambushed by a couple in laytonsville during a nightly delivery. the police never found the couple responsible, but they believed they were squatters.

Bikers who hazed him and joked with him, a naked Italian guy comes to the door calling back to "babe" for money, A Kung fu Pizza Guy who fought off a gang of pizza thieves only to end up in the hospital 2 days later (ambushed). Dave was great and extremely truthful - he was a theology student.

All my pizza deliverers out there if you ever run into a situation where you’re asked to “Come in and put the pizza on the counter” all you gotta say is “Sorry,(sir/ma’am) that’s against our company’s policy.” Then just leave the pizza in front of the door and say “Your pizza is in front of the door” then leave and go on with your day/night. Trust me no normal person with no intentions would ever let in a stranger into their house to just put a pizza on their counter. Stay safe y’all!

I worked for a popular pizza chain and we were trained that we weren’t allowed to go inside someone’s house, even if it seemed innocent or friendly. That it could be a trap or setup. So if someone was insisting that we come in we just leave. Sometimes we had an asshole shift manager who didn’t care about that though and would yell at us. That’s just a power trip though. The company wanted us to stay safe
It's also to cover your ass, so the homeowner can't come back later and falsely accuse you of doing something inappropriate. You stay outside and you're in view of anyone walking or driving by.

An even more terrifying incident for a poor pizza delivery driver comes to mind. A young boy is accidentally left behind when his family go on holiday, leaving him to fend for himself. He proves most resourceful however and has a bit of fun after ordering pizza at the deliverer's expense.To say the driver beats a hasty retreat is an understatement. Thankfully, I refer to the film 'Home Alone'.

An even more terrifying incident for a poor pizza delivery driver comes to mind. A young boy is accidentally left behind when his family go on holiday, leaving him to fend for himself. He proves most resourceful however and has a bit of fun after ordering pizza at the deliverer's expense.To say the driver beats a hasty retreat is an understatement.
