If I ever heard muffled crying in the night around a freaky dudes house , cops are getting involved. Some poor soul, human or animal could be suffering. You honestly never know. And there are sick people in this world.

Yeah, how could that person not connect the banging on the garage door with the van and muffled crying? This person probably allowed someone to die or worse simply because they were afraid to get the police involved or didn't even consider it.
And how can you equate the time that it would take to call the police and even attend court with the time that person or child would have if you bothered to save them?
@@samwarren6008 even if you call the police they still need a warrant I don’t think a neighbor hearing weird noises is enough. Police can only enter a home if they are 100% sure someone is in trouble.
@@damiantirado9616 Actually hearing muffled crying noises or the like can allow for a wellness check and if someone is thought to be in actual danger, cops don't need to wait for a warrant. Some circumstances allow for immediate action.
The third story is just so maddening to me since I have no clue why they’d have a neighbor right next to them doing suspicious behavior and most likely having kidnapped someone, and not even *consider* calling the cops.

The guy in the third story should DEFINITELY call the police. Sounds like he could have someone tied up in there in need of help
If he didn't see the neighbour for like 2 weeks then it's too late, they let that person die and potentially the guy get rid of all the evidence.

I really hope the people in the 3rd story reported the suspicious activity to the police. Even if it's just paranoia and they're wrong, it's better safe than sorry. There are too many missing or worse people out there whose lives could have been saved if others took the initiative to report the suspicious activity. :(

You should do a video following up on old stories that you already told. Like if it ended with "If anything else happens, I'll give you an update". I would like to see that.
I’ve thought about it, but I’m not sure how well it would work because a lot of people might not want to go back and listen to old stories from 3 different videos first to know what’s going on

The third story reminds me of some psycho neighbour we had at my parent's growing up. All hours of the night strange sounds coming from their garage that sounded like a kid crying and the neighbour being very weird and secretic about the garage... it turned out he was stealing people's cats from other neighbourhoods in hopes that he could claim rewards if they listed it as missing. He got caught because if no one posted a reward for the cat he'd just bring them to the shelter and the shelter started connecting the dots when he kept bringing in cats that would be claimed by owners that had been checking the shelter to see if their lost cat turned up.
Imagine if he just was lucky finding lost cats haha but that’s absolutely crazy and mean

Me and the neighbor kept staring at each other and then I did the unthinkable....
I open the window with full force and at the top of my lungs I yelled "IT'S MY MONEY AND I NEED IT NOW!" and then the neighbor opened his window and yelled "IT'S MY MONEY AND I NEED IT NOW!" and then I heard the most scariest scream anyone could have ever hear...this is what we heard "SHUT THE F UP!"

I’ve lived in my same house for 20 years now. We have this house across the street that really has never been occupied. We’ve never seen any people, never had someone answer the door on Halloween, just a couple identical gray ford vans in the driveway every few months. Super creepy house and our whole block has always wondered what’s up with the residents or who they even are.

People would be shocked at how many times they not just hear, but SEE suspect activity and do not report it to the authorities for one reason or another & it ends up being a serious infraction/crime.

Same! It's insane how little regard people have for the safety of those around them. No wonder so many people die or go missing. At worst, he would've inconvenienced a neighbor; at best, he'd save a life and be a hero. It's a no-brainer to call the cops.

So this is kind of a creepy neighbor story of mine. My family and I were staying in an Airbnb for about a week, so we obviously didn’t know anyone around us. And we were staying in what looked and seemed to be a very nice neighborhood. Well one night my boyfriend and I were laying in bed watching RUclips videos separately. All of this happened around midnight. I started hearing screaming, but I had earbuds in so it sounded muffled and I just assumed it was on the video my bf was watching. He somehow didn’t hear any of it though until about 1 minute later we both heard someone yell “no stop” and it was so loud. We both paused the videos and sat there looking at each other kind of stunned. And then we jumped up and looked out our window and saw a car speed out of the cul-de-sac. I told my bf to go look outside to watch the car go onto the main road and I stayed looking through the window incase I saw something else. He was out there for about 5 minutes before I decided to go check on him. Well, when the car got to the main road they turned off their headlights and continued to speed down the road and onto the highway. My bf was on the phone with the police telling them what we heard, what he saw, and the direction they were going in and everything. We never heard anything after that so idk what exactly happened but I just have this feeling we somewhat witnessed a kidnapping. I really hope that’s not the case though and I kick myself all the time for not checking things out when I first heard the screaming :/

You put your bf in serious danger. Easily could have become “collateral” if he was a witness to a suspected heinous crime while you sat in the house in safety. Could have had accomplices too and to be a sitting duck out there for 5 minutes ? Absolutely reckless.
@@1lastthing285 lmao he’s a police officer himself, was on the phone with 911 the whole time, and had his gun with him. But at the end of the day, he’s an adult who can make decisions for himself. If he didn’t feel comfortable going outside he didn’t have to.

I feel for the neighbor in the first story though. Watching the land around you get cleared out and become more gentrified is both engaging and heartbreaking. Makes you feel helpless.

I would have just said yeah, a lot of city people can be like that. The guy was still probably crazy anyways but I’m gonna discredit what he said about city people.

Not sure when these took place BUT .. i TRULY hope the couple in the 3rd story at least called the non-emergency 911# and request a "welfare check" on the neighbor's residence and explain to dispatch the awkward behavior of the neighbor & the sounds they've heard coming from the shed/garage... Honestly, you never know - it could save a life.
At this point their best bet would be to go to the town hall and find out who owns the property then go from there.

After listening to your stories for at least a year I've gotten somewhat anxious about my house, where I live and when I'm alone as my husband has a full time job. My gut keeps telling me to get some home security going, couple cameras around the house. But, then, would I be even more scared, you know.
Some motion lights and outdoor cameras wouldn't hurt!

Ah, dear Mr. Nightmare, you were my first introduction to the genre of scary stories on RUclips-I remember staying up all night, doing a birthday binge on your work. I almost cried when I realized I had completed all the past episodes, but then realized that every time you put up a new one, it would be just like a birthday gift! I have since discovered other channels that I enjoy, but to me, you are still the original and one of the greatest narrative entertainers of all time. Thank you thank for bringing a new source of happiness into my life! (PS just one comment on story 2-the police who found the barbed wire and said the bad guy was going to use it to strangle the mom? Well, I grew up in the country and used to help my cousins string barbed wire, and it is not as flexible as one might think. To bend it or to straighten it out requires a great of effort and a couple of pliers to manipulate it...and if he wasn't wearing extremely heavy duty leather gloves, he'd shred his hands to pieces. He should have chosen a better tool for ligature strangulation, LOL.)

Better to be wrong about him having some poor victim trapped in there than to find out about the body on the news and WISH you'd SPOKEN up! Plus, if it's an animal, they should make sure it isn't being abused!

I honestly refuse to listen to that story mainly because of those shitty kids. Every time I listen to that story, I can't help but feel infuriated for whatever reason. Any other stories I'm willing to listen to but vol 1 of the neighbors story is the one story I cannot listen to without feeling angry.

This might be a little out there, but maybe the house in the third story was NEVER sold. this guy was just using it to store something.. or someone. People use abandoned or unsold houses all the time for shady shit.

So here's my creepy neighbor story. I grew up in a trailer park with both my parents, a younger sister, and a younger brother. We had an old couple living next to us for several years until one year the husband left the wife and a little after that the wife ended up leaving with her son. So then a normal looking guy probably in his early 40's bought the trailer next door, he was single and never caused trouble we would even invite him over when my family would have get togethers every once in a while. In one occasion he introduced us to both of his daughters they were a little older than i was and would go visit him on the weekends. When i turned 15 i moved to Mexico due to personal reasons but my parents and siblings continued living in the trailer park until my parents eventually got divorced, that was the year i turned 18 and decided to go visit them. When i got there my dad was already packing all his stuff to move to his new home. Now this is where the story gets crazy. As the next door neighbor knew my dad wouldn't be living there anymore, one day after my dad had already left he randomly confessed to my mom that he had been having a huge crush on her for years and that he thought it would be a great idea if they started dating. Ofcourse my mom declined politely and told him that her divorce was way too recent and wasn't looking for any type of relationship with anyone at the moment. Apparently he didn't take it too well because that's when his anger twards the rejection began. This guy had already started doing drugs, it was so surprising to us that after so many years of being a healthy hard working man all of a sudden had fallen really deep into that kind of stuff. It started with him peeking into the windows that lead to our parking since the trailers were practically close to eachother. We would always be outside because it was summer and it started getting so awkward that we had to buy those huge blinds to keep him from just watching us all the time. I actually stayed for a few months when all of that was happening and during all that time period at nights he would wake us up to really loud noises it seemed as if he were to be throwing really heavy stuff across his trailer and screaming to himself. We reported a complaint to the manager and had to open a case beacuse his behavior was getting out of control. One morning we woke up to see the blinds that we had put up were all ripped, apparently he had done it with a knife late at night when we were asleep I guess he just opened his windows and did it from inside his trailer. I should also mention alot of my moms side of the family lived in the same trailer park so my aunts and uncles were aware of what was going on and by that my mom felt a little safer knowing she wasn't alone. Sadly the case took quite a while like a year and a half. I had left back to Mexico but was still in contact with my mom and family they would tell me alot of sketchy men would go visit the neighbor all the time reguarding the drug situation, they had to call the cops several times because the waking up at nights with him throwing stuff wouldn't stop. It also got to the point where he assaulted one of my cousins outside the trailer park, my brother was with him that one time and he's autistic so you can imagine how terrifying that was for him. When the police finally went to get him out of his trailer after the court finally approved the case for him to leave they said they found him hiding inside a hole he made inside his trailer's floor. His trailer was in really bad conditions beacuse of all the drugs. The smell was very strong even with roaches all over the place, the manager had to get rid of it. At the end we couldn't be happier, my mom and siblings lived peacefully again without that annyoing disturbing man harassing them anymore. Some of my family members would sometimes see him in the streets after that. When the pandemic started my sister opened her lash business on IG and came across one of his daughters and since they followed eachother my sister would see her stories and she says she would post her dad often wishing him a happy birthday and such also saying he was doing much better, and well my mom now has good neighbors living next to her. Hopefully she never has to go through something like that ever again.
So sad 😔 and good, she living with good neighbors now.
Ppl on hard drugs are super scary cuz unpredictable and also have delusions so could think ur conspiring against them and kill u!
