Amanda Marshall wow your a beast!! I just had a emergency c section and the painful part was delivery I felt when they brought my daughter out it was painful. But currently 4 days recovery and its going really well, just the swelling is painful. I can’t imagine having 3 C-section.
Thank you for uploading this, helps me to feel more prepared! I’m 36 weeks but measuring 39 so a C-section may be in my future! Also your baby is so sweet I can’t wait to be a mom 😊❤️
I'm glad you found this helpful and thank you she's a joy. Being a mom is exhausting but the best thing ever. I promise. You'll do great! You got this mama, wishing you a safe and happy delivery!
My water broke at 34 weeks and since she was breech I had to have an unexpected c section and I have to say I really wish I saw this video before because everything you said was so true and the garden water container is brilliant idea
I'm currently two days postpartum from an unplanned cesarean. Baby girl was footling breech, and because of how fast I was progressing I needed an urgent C. I had a natural water birth with her brother, so I'm at a loss for self care, lol. Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for all of this information,, will be having a c section in few weeks I am a first time mum and am already panicking and scared, cause I had a fibroids surgery last year menh each time I remember that pain I feel like am dying 😭😭😭 pray for me !! You and your baby are adorable ❤️
Your baby girl is BEAUTIFUL! CONGRATS!!! This is a great video👍. I wish that whenever I had my children that there was information out there like this. I had 3 girls and had to have c sections everytime. My 1st daughter was distressed (heart rate dropping rapidly) because she had swallowed meconium (when baby uses #2 in womb, sometimes due to baby being overdue). That was the case for my daughter anyhow. So she had to be delivered asap. This next is going to be TMI. My water broke and the color of the water is how they knew she went #2 inside my womb. Thank God my water broke and the nurse saw this because she was not breathing. She was whisked away and put on 100% oxygen. She had to be life flighted to a children's hospital from the Naval Hospital where she was born on my Marine Corps base. She is now a very tall and healthy 14 year old today. The OB said I would probably ended up having to have a C section anyhow. Due to her being such a big baby for my little 5'4 120 lb body. She was 8lbs 8 oz & 21.5 inches long. My second daughter was only 18 months apart from my oldest and so my husband and I decided with the advice of our OB, that we needed to do another c section. Due to it being so soon after my first C section. A VBAC could of caused a uterus rupture. Which could kill my baby, myself or both of us. So the risk was too great. She was born c section and very healthy @ 7lbs 4 oz and 21 inches. I got to have her with me in my room unlike my first baby. That was amazing! She is now 13. She is super smart, mature and very healthy. My 3rd pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. That was my boy👦. I will see him again in heaven someday. Finally, my 4th & last pregnancy. With my 3rd daughter, my OB would not let me try to deliver by VBAC due to scar tissue (same reason as uterine rupture possibility). She was 6 lbs 11.5 oz and 19 inches. She is now a very healthy, energetic, confident 10 year old. I can not have anymore children. I am very happy with my 3 daughters. However, I wish that I could have experienced a vaginal delivery. But my girls' are healthy and we were both safer with each C-section. That is the main thing. I dealt with worrying about my body going back to normal. I ran a lot & worked out. My body then went back to normal in no time. God bless anyone who read all this. To anyone who is going to have or is forced to have a C section, just embrace it. Once you see your baby, it will be so worth it. Btw, my ex husband is 6'2 & a very big muscular guy. So I guess that is why my oldest was so big lol 😂. However, the other 2 were smaller like me. For my baby boy..... 🙏👣💙🌈👶👼
I'm happy that your girls were born healthy and are doing well. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your baby boy. 💔 I know the pain of miscarriage too well. I had two losses before my daughter was born. A section wasn't my first choice but she was still breach at 34 weeks and stayed that way. As moms we do what is necessary to make sure our children are safe and healthy. Thank you for sharing your story with me. 💕🙏
I made the switch to use the stay free brand for my periods, but I had a vaginal delivery and it was more bleeding the first 3 weeks than I expected for first pregnancy. I used a maxi pad and what's funny is I started showing my 8 and 5 year old pads and stuff, at first both girls thought they are diapers.
Thank you for making this, I'm glad I found this video. I am most likely going to have a c section and I've been worried about it.. but the way you explained your tips and the pep talk at the end made me feel more confident. I love the watering can idea.. makes so much sense, you are awesome :) bit late but still, congratulations
Thank you. I'm glad you found this helpful. Just think that you're doing what best for you and baby. Let that be your comfort. Wishing you a safe and peaceful delivery. 💕🙏
Yes, you'll have numbness. Also, for me I felt tenderness for about a year. My daughter us almost two now and my incision is feeling a lot better. Give yourself time to heal. 💕
A whole year 😭😭😭this c-section thing I feel will lead me to depression...and I'll be having my First birth due any day..gynae said it's the best option
A year goes by fast! Don't worry about it too much. Also, it's common for moms to feel down after baby because your hormones will be all over the place. Make sure you have a friend to talk to if you need. Also talk with your hubby about giving you 1-2 hours a day for "me" time. It will make a world of difference. 😊
Im on my.4th pregnancy and i feel like the uterus is doing extra work ...more pain ...muscle pain ...just wondering if uts something u r going through as well
Hahahahaaaaa.... I laugh bc of the flower pot water container. Totally my kind of extra and a great idea since u won't be able to just get in the tub after ur surgery. I'm 6 months along now and LIVE in the bathtub lol!! I didn't know what I was going to do after Mt c section, so thanks 😁😁
I’m so glad I found your videos! I just found out at my ultrasound yesterday that I have a bicornuate uterus and will likely have to have a c section. You’re so positive and wonderful and I appreciate your tips and advice. I just want to listen to you talk to me all the time because I feel so uplifted!
I'm so glad to have been helpful to you. I remember being worried and scared but everything was okay. It will be for you too! The more info you get the more it eases your mind. Wishing all the best and a peaceful delivery and recovery. 💕
Just wanted to say thank you for the wee pat on the back at the last few minutes of the video, I really needed that❤️ Im 2 and a half weeks postpartum after an elective c section (I chose c section as it was a safer option for our baby. I didnt want her to have any heart issues during vaginal birth and needing an emergency c section at the end. She was also a bug baby at almost 4kg with a large head). I still cant lift her out of her crib as the crib is too low😞 If anyone reads this going foe a c section; make sure the crib you chose is high enough otherwise you wont be able to lift baby in and out of it😞
You're welcome mama. Right now is a time to be gentle on yourself and focus on healing. Yes, having a high crib makes a world of difference! Wishing you a continued healthy recovery. Take care of yourself and your new beautiful bundle of joy! 💕
My voice doesn't sound like Rihanna's but maybe she meant some of the inflection in my voice sound a bit Caribbean. I've been told that IRL. She's entitled to HER opinion. Keep it positive or just agree to disagree. ✌
I’m surprised at how many people weren’t aware that you still bleed after a c section. Your uterus just grew a baby for 9 mos it has to shed and shrink.. 🤦🏼♀️ great video though very informative thank you.
Made me cry lol I had a c section last week and idk why but I thought I'd get my body back like everybody else did seems like. I guess I just have to accept that it jss won't happen. Yur rite I have my baby and that's the best thing I could ever imagine. ☺️
Red Author it's great. No more pain so don't need pain pills nomore. Still got flab but it has gone down a lil . The scar is perfect if only I can get my stomach flat nd get rid of these love handles ughh.
Kandy Fuqua did you try belly binding? Sorry if I am asking a lot of questions but I have twins due in July and my doctor told me I will need a c section I am really nervous 😓
I had a c-section 5 days ago, it's the worst experience than having to give birth naturally. Just wondering how to get my tummy flat back again. But I had God for my baby boy who was born at 30 weeks
Congratulations on your delivery. I'm sorry that you're experiencing. It will get better. Resting and focusing on recovery is my suggestion. I never focus on snapping back. After my daughter was 1 yr and a half was when I started worrying about working out. Your body has done an amazing thing! I can't advise you on how to get a flat tummy. But appreciate your body and the miracle that it's brought to you. Stay blessed. 💕
Great video. My wife is going in for a C-section to have our little girl on 04/17/18...which is 37w-4d. I only wish that they would've told us that timeframe SOONER (the full 40 week due date would've been 05/04/18 - "Force Friday"...I was looking forward to that for our lil' Miracle Princess!!)
Terry Robins Wow. Yeah, we wanted to wait, too. Evidently, our daughter got VERY tired of waiting. Things have went down in such a way that she's going to be here TODAY, 04/15/18...37w-2d.
Helen Hines Oh WOW. That's wild!! Yeah, my wife's OB-GYN simply said that they would prefer to do the C-section between 37 & 38 weeks. No reason given as to why.
Thanks so much for sharing this video!! It was great to hear all of the advice and especially what you said at the end. I had a C-Section as well so I really needed to hear that:):)
Hi hopefully all went well with your delivery. I was scared too but when it got to the actual day. I was fine. Wishing you a speed recovery. Congrats on your new bundle of joy!
AmaryllisTV it was a very scary moment, got through it and now recovering. A lil traumatized but nonetheless blessed with an angel that makes me forget that moment and pain:) Thank you for following up❤️🙏🏼
Wauw... I wish I saw your vid earlier. I am a Dutch woman and 8vweeks ago I had a c-section with afterwards sooooo much skinnproblem, probably a allergic reaction of all medicals. What is the name of the first bottle of pills you showing to prevent those problems afterwards? My recovery is taking slow because of that.. Where did you got those usefully advices/tips? In Holland we got 8days of ( Kraamzorg) nursery, I don't know how you call that in English but some of your advices I never thought/think/heard from my nursery help.. So again, Thnx ☺️ And what cutie pie your daughter.. 😍 And how beautiful you say it, being proud of yourself not be insecure about your body etc..
Hi Congrats on your new baby! The pills I showed are just stool softeners. They just make it easier to poop! (sorry no nice way to say it). One was just a generic brand from the pharmacy and the other one was called Lax a Day'. I would always ask the doctor before taking any kind of pills in case they have adverse effect with pain killers. I got most of my info from moms online who had C-sections and also just learning as I recover. In Canada we have 1 year of maternity leave to take care of our babies. I'm glad that this information was helpful. Wishing you all the best!
Congratulations! Sorry about the late response. RUclips doesn't give me comment notifications. But I hope you and baby are doing well. I hope you are having a speedy recovery. 💕🤗
Glad you did. No Belly blet of banding. I just wore high waisted cincher panties. Also, I just took it easy no needless walking, climbing stairs or moving around unnecessarily. :)
Thank you so much for the video so insightful. I am going for my second CSection in January and a bit nervous though is not my first Bt I am confused on the right an aesthetic option to go for. Wudnt want an epidural Cos of the debilitating pains when it wears off.Any better option?
I had a spinal tap. However I didn't request it. I just went with what my OBGYN recommended. But I should also mention that I have a great relationship with her and I completely trust her judgment. I would speak to your OB and ask about the pros and cons for each type of anaesthetic.
@@preciousnze4026 I have only ever had a spinal so I'll describe my experience. I got a need in my spine which they injected the anaesthetic into my spinal colum for the procedure. I could feel it but I had no pain for that part. They did give me a small needle to numb the injection point. No major pain small pinch but very tolerable. I'm afraid of needles so that saying a lot lol. I started to feel a little woozy as the drugs took affect. I'd say within 5 mins. I was numb from the chest down. I was very aware but felt no pain at all. Even after the recovery room I still felt no pain. Overall it was a good experience but everyone is different. I found a site that best describes the difference between the two procedures. www.drsherry.com/blog/what-you-need-to-know-about-a-spinal-block-versus-an-epidural-according-to-experts/ Seems to break the process down the best. Hope this helps. 😊
I am going to have another planned csection in a couple of months. I’m already having hemorrhoid recently and taking over the counter medicine as instructed by doctor. We are going to buy food from outside after delivery. Can I take stool softener after each meal like three times a day after delivery? Any suggestion please.

In Holland we got 8days of ( Kraamzorg) nursery, I don't know how you call that in English but some of your advices I never thought/think/heard from my nursery help.. So again, Thnx ☺️
And what cutie pie your daughter.. 😍
And how beautiful you say it, being proud of yourself not be insecure about your body etc..
cynthia I think you are talking about stool softeners my dr had me take one called cola even but I was also given some in the hospital called senna

@Afsa Mujtaba I had no problems breastfeeding after my c-section. But every woman may have a different experience. 💕
Enjoyed your video 🙂 Did you have a favorite belly belt/band that helped with postpartum healing?
Glad you did. No Belly blet of banding. I just wore high waisted cincher panties. Also, I just took it easy no needless walking, climbing stairs or moving around unnecessarily. :)
Best advice ever! Thanks

AmaryllisTV Is spinal tap different from epidural?
I found a site that best describes the difference between the two procedures. www.drsherry.com/blog/what-you-need-to-know-about-a-spinal-block-versus-an-epidural-according-to-experts/
Seems to break the process down the best. Hope this helps. 😊
Congratulations
Brandie Henson Thank you! 💕
what is stool softener?
tt tiana a pill so that when you poop you don’t have to strain in this sense you don’t strain the c-section site
I am going to have another planned csection in a couple of months. I’m already having hemorrhoid recently and taking over the counter medicine as instructed by doctor. We are going to buy food from outside after delivery. Can I take stool softener after each meal like three times a day after delivery? Any suggestion please.
I would ask the doctor just to be sure the won't react with whatever pain pills you're subscribed. Always double check with your doctor. 😊
lol I bought diapers 😂😂😂
