Congrats!!! How are you doing? Are you pregnant? I’m 36+4 weeks, will have a CSection at 37+1 , due to pre e & breech baby ( plus, I’m choosing a elective one either way) ....
      Blessings!

I was so sensitive after my 3 C-sections that I couldn't even stand granny panties. I am not even ashamed to say that Depends did the trick to catch heavy blood flow and they came up high enough over the incision that it didn't bother it. Just saying, instead of buying huge panties and pads, Depends are better in my opinion for the first few days at least!

I just happened to click the play.. Im glad I did..
I remember my c-section.. Ugh.. Recovery was hard.. I went home 4 days after my son was born.. They took my staples out.. Once I went home I was basically on NY own.. They didn't really give me instructions or anything.. I went to go lay down.. My son was on my chest.. He was 9. 9.. So he was a big baby.. I wasn't allowed to lift him.. But I was allowed to hold him for breastfeeding.. I woke up and my husband came in and lifted our son up and noticed I was all wet.. So he looked and he said im going to clean you up and maybe we should go back up to the hospital.. I said why he said I just want to make sure your OK... Since I couldn't feel NOTHING... I had no clue that my incision came open.. And my husband said he was putting my insides back in me.. And made a bandage and helped me get into the car and to the hospital.. We were in the ER for two hours.. We left our new born with grandma.. (Had no clue it was going to be a 3 1/2 visit).. I got extremely upset cause I was there so long and my son was home.. It's not what I pictured on our first night home... The doctor came in.. Took the pads off and all that stuff.. And turned around to my husband and said why did you bring her up here she's fine.. My husband then got really upset.. He said first.. She's not fine.. Second I pushed her guts back in third she is swollen and all red around that area.. The doctor turned to me.. Rolled his eyes.. And said you first time parents crack me up.. Thats when I was about ready to lose it.. I said do you think I wanted to come back to this place on the very day I took my son home.. Do you think this is fun for me.. My husband is concerned for me.. Yes, we are first time parents.. But I've never seen a woman go home and her guts come out.. Then the doctor said well I told you no lifting.. I started crying and I said I just laid down and sat up.. That's it.. He acted as if I lied.. Yes, im stubborn but not where its going to put my health or my family health at risk.. The doctor cleaned the wound.. Covered it up and said you don't need to bring her up.. You did a hood enough job.. Are you kidding me.. Your serious!! ?? He said yes.. Wow.. A week later my scar got worse and I developed a very bad infection along with mastitis in both breast.. I told my husband later that we will NEVER go back to that hospital I don't care if im dying.. And that's the only hospital taking patients..
Yes it was a long time ago.. But that doesn't mean attitudes change through out time.. He could of educated us more.. And he didn't need to treat new parents crappy... Yes, I was a brand new mom.. But being a parent came natural to me.... Since then that hospital has closed.. Thank goodness.. I thought it would of been a top of a line hospitals just because it is a labor delivery.. Maternity hospital.. HOW WRONG I WAS!!! My son now is going on 18 years old in Jan.. And very healthy.. Smart gentleman.. My whole pregnancy was a total nightmare.. Its the reason why we only ever had one baby..

Momma Alia im good now.. But it's weird how a woman can remember every single detail of their child's birth.. My baby boy.. Lol.. Is 6' 1 and about 200 pounds.. Lol..yes, hell always be my baby.. I just can't rock him to sleep anymore.. And im no longer his girl.. Now.. I know nothing and the only time he wants to be seen with me is when he wants money.. Lol.. I love teen life.. Ugh....
No, seriously I do have a pretty good kid..

I am asking as I will have to take 3 passing exams one week after the birth :)) Hehe..thoughts?

    • @MommaAlia

I feel like I'm a pretty level headed, strong person most of the time and the it was the actual operation I struggled with. I was totally fine pre- op and post- op but during I was a blubbering, hot mess lol. I think it's the realization of just exactly is about to happen and the seriousness of the procedure. It seems to hit at once for me (even the second time around) but I allow myself to feel those things. It's all part of the process I believe! But once in recovery I was asking to nurse, be moved to my room and was eager to get up on my own. I think it's important to listen to your body and go at your speed(:

I had a csection with my first. She is now 9 months old and im 8 months pregnant again. I am choosing to have a repeat because vbacs are possible but dangerous. Especially this close to a past csection. I am choosing to have a repeat. Im not being forced

Staples on C-section! Omg! Ladies, please talk to your ob to get something nicer for sutures!

I preferred them. Everyone will respond differently. I had staples with our older two with no incisional pain or hardly any scar. I had sutures with our third and it was the most painful experience and now I have a very noticeable scar. A skilled surgeon can make a lot out of either🤷🏻‍♀️
