I knew John Davis, he lived where I worked and he was our client. He was very kind, always smiling, always joking. Such a nice human being.

I am the second cousin of John Davis. My grandfather (Johnnie Davis) and John's Dad (Charlie Davis) were brothers. I am so elated that this information exist. Much of this was unknown to me (and many of us really). Especially the information about our family tree and history. Many of us are still in the Anderson area, and in fact are gathering for the first time in many years this coming weekend.
I would like to clarify one thing: The narrator stated that the man singing on the '45 was my Grandfather (Johnnie Davis). Well, it is actually his brother (John's uncle) Hubert Davis leading that song. He is one of a few Davis siblings still living.

Its a shame America didnt revere this mans superior elite musical talent. He was a better singer than 90% of known artists.

John Davis was both a rapper and also an even better singer- vocalist as well a musical writer.

Jasmin, John’s eldest daughter writing here: The Doc. Is okay made, but there is so much information missing on this documentary about Dad and his legacy, as well some things do not belong in there or better yet persons … should have talked to us, his close Family in Germany and not make something out of limited information…

Sorry to say but I belive this is true.News is that the Japs killed Michael Jackson because he was owned by them and Michael could not take their crap anymore and was getting ready to leave them. Many of todays singers are backed and owned by over sea agents.Prince is another artist who died very young.Get my message people.R.I.P Johnny Davis
