I think you guys make great points about tanking, this year and last year. But I can't help but laugh at any fan who's worried about uniforms or the owner's feelings. When you're not a perennial loser, which the Titans are slipping back into being, you can start to argue about uniforms. Call me crazy, I'd rather compete for a super bowl.
Good ep lads. I see the bigger picture, agree this is different from Jags last year but, the fact it's the Texans, with the Oilers throwbacks, is just so unique. Winning to punch everyone in the mouth that is chipping into the Titans for "zero respect", and "we are all the Texans" is so bittersweet but I hate all that narrative, so I'd prefer to run the risk we drop a few spots. If the throwbacks weren't on, I'd be absolutely fine tanking.

I think they made a concerted effort of tanking since Jones and Hopkins been traded...and I have been very open about being team tanking since. Not sure why they would stop this upcoming weekend. I sure hope NOT!!!! Yeah there has been some wins here and there but I think it's mostly about not to have the NFL officers knocking at their door...
I think you can avoid winning without outright tanking. I would like to see them sit any player they know will be here in 2025 unless they are chasing some incentives. So hopefully we aren't seeing Simmons, Sweat, Awuzie, etc in the game. And keep NWI off the field! 😂 They should hopefully be giving as many reps to players who won't be under contract or need to prove something. But the last thing we want is a brutal injury besides a win of course!
I’m going to make the Quarterback comment. The perfect pipe dream is Arch Manning. That’s 2026-2028. If the Titans are in position to get Arch when he declares, “CallaRan” are already fired. They cannot wait on a QB, or they’re fired. Immediately. Amy’s building a new stadium. There’s no star power on her team. No one is talking about HER team, in a positive light, whatsoever. Carthon/Callahan are going to have to reach on a QB, this draft. A bridge option will do nothing to sell tickets. The last zillion super bowls, it has been between 2 QBs who were drafted by their respective teams (not counting Manning or Brady). Bridge QBs are a complete waste of time, time Amy does not have to sell PSLs, season tickets, “sell” her team to the fan base, etc. If they do not do everything in their power to take a QB in the top 2, even if that means trading up to 1 with the Patriots to ENSURE they get their guy (and not have a repeat of the Texans jumping them to take Stroud), they’re both fired by season’s end, guaranteed. I don’t think Callahan has one single brain cell in his body. I do think Ran at least has an iota of awareness and optics about him. Sanders would be the “celebrity” pick, the safest QB pick, and one that would cause nonstop chatter about the Titans in the offseason. They cannot get a 2nd, 4th, 5th round QB this year and expect to keep their jobs. They have absolutely no other option. Giants, Browns, Raiders, Jets, they all are in the market for a QB for the same reason. If they have an ounce of awareness between the two of them, they cannot let Sanders/Ward (I vastly prefer Sanders) pass them by, or they’re done and they have to know they’re done.
Manning probably isn't coming out til 2027 IMO. The one saving grace here might be if Amy is more worried about having a good team in the new stadium so they're willing to be patient for the right QB. But I do fear you're right and that they'll make a desperate decision at QB this year out of self preservation. I personally do not like Ward or Sanders as QB prospects.

In terms of tanking, I absolutely hate doing this it makes me feel sick, but I wanna lose this game. At least in a way that's not a complete embarrassment. This isn't like last years game against the Jags where Tannehill and Henry got a send off by beating the team that took them out of playoff contention the year prior. This would be a meaningless win that most likely hurts us in the long run
