Collaboration was doomed to fail. Adhoc culture and a flat business structure cannot work in a business like this. It needs to be a top down hierarchy. Flat structures create ambiguity when it comes to accountability. Brinker and this crew may do a good job or may not, but we will know who is to blame because the buck stops with brinker now. This is a very positive development. I also agree that the gm responsibilities should be split with oversight. If a gm focuses soley on acquisition and analysis, they are more likely to analyze more effectively without the extra stuff on their plates. Whenever anyone multitasks, you lose something on every task that does not get 100% of your attention.

And on other days he chose not to work. And a lot of us has a difficult line to toe with him where we wanted to be compassionate but also encouraging. I talked with him about it.
