I Freaking love this channel! You always see for your fans, like the subtitles, but jn addition, if the game was quick, you give us another one or even 2,3 more, love you so much guys, my favorite MTG content Creators.
Best thing about this channel is if you have a quick game you play a few more. I listen and watch while Im working and so many channels do a quick 10 min video which means I have to keep stopping to sort out youtube 😂 Love all the content guys!@
I absolutely loved these games. I really liked the intricacy of the Esika deck the most as I have never seen her played in cedh before. Also that stack in game 3 was nuts, I definitely would have just ended mumbling trying to narrate it back lol
I love your content and seeing different decks. That being said I see a lot of similar decks and would love to see you guys play decks with commanders NEVER seen on the channel...that would be fantastic
I'm not hard of hearing, but I have a newborn that requires lots of quiet rocking. I'm so appreciative of the subtitles! I get to watch some sweet EDH while being stuck on a rocking chair for the last hour. Seriously THANK YOU!
Malcolm and Tana are super powerful. even on a budget, where you take out all the very expensive cards, it can easily win on turns 3-4 I did some playtests with it on mox field. only one game went really long, but in that game, I got mana flooded, which I find odd because the deck has 32 lands. I know your original list goes with 29 or 30 (Cal's has 27), but when you don't have the money for a mox diamond I thought it would be smart to up the land count a bit. so in place of jewelled lotus and mox diamond, I added 2 lands and of course, the mana base is a bit more budget too, so no taiga, tropical island, volcanic Island and Gaea's cradle. But despite all this, it's only a couple of turns slower. Jewelled lotus would help a lot since it pays for Malcolm all by itself.
Yeah... if an opponent has Malcolm and access to Red in their deck I never let Malcom see the light of day if I can help it. I just assume Glint-horn is waiting in their hand to pop out at any moment.
Correct me if I'm wrong, bit in the last game Dante would have killed Cal and Drake and before Phillip and then not been able to net enough treasures off of Glint-horn to keep paying for it's ability, leaving Phillip in the game and ready to win on his next turn...
Since Glint-horn is pinging three players, Dante nets an extra treasure with each loop until Cal dies. By that point, he's gained 23 extra treasures, Drake is at 3 life and Phillip is at 15. It's a net even for killing Drake, bringing Phillip down to 12 life with 23 treasures. Since each loop only costs 1 treasure instead of 2 due to Malcolm replacing a treasure with each iteration, he had more than enough mana to finish Phillip off.
With your opponents at three different life totals, doesn't the Glint-Horn+Malcolm combo fizzle after the lower two are dead? Then Malcolm only makes one treasure with each loop, so you would need an additional mana source to activate Glint-Horn's ability.
Nevermind. I ignored that the combo was generating three treasures for the first ~30 iterations, which provide more than enough mana to finish off the last remaining opponent.
Ah... I think you're right actually. He kills Cal at +23 treasures, then stops breaking even when Philip is at 12. He doesn't have the one more mana source needed to finish Philip off without Simian Spirit Guide or a ritual somewhere in there.
@@Darchias Correct that I will have 23 treasures. With Phillip at 12 and me at 23 treasures it would still work since I'm still getting a treasure off of Phillip on activation. It would almost be as if glint horn ability is reduced by 1, so 23 treasures leaves me with 11 left after Phillip dies. (23+12)-24=KO
@@Darchias Nah. Opponents are at 22, 25 and 37 life. He has 2 treasures from combat damage, enough to start the loop. First activation will use those two treasures and generate three, netting one bonus. First, opponent with lowest life dies after 22 hits, and the loop has thus generated 22 bonus treasures. He's left with 24 total. Then second round of activations begins. This time he gains no treasures, but doesn't really consume any either until second opponent is dead, so he stays at 24. Which is enough to kill Philip, who's at 12.
I love your videos and channel. I was thinking about joining your Patreon but I was wondering whether any participants of the Discord channel can tell me something. How often do webcam games fire in the EU-friendly timezone?
in game 3 i believe if they did the math right the game wasnt over. 2 oponnets had around 25 life and one had over 30 at some point malcolm would produce 1 treasure alone and he wouldnt be able to keep doing buccaneer effect.

Yeah I've wondered the same. I've looked at a few of these games recently because I'm building the deck and I feel like Cal is playing quite slowly; which means sometimes it looks like he has the win in hand but he doesn't go for it.
It wouldn’t matter. You can activate the ability as long as glint horn is attacking. Do you can do it during declaring attackers, or declaring blockers.
i have one thing to say and one thing to ask. first, wow esika is cool second, is malcom usually better with a partner that has 2 different colors from blue? because i actually thought of building a Malcolm deck with Kediss, emberclaw familiar

I think this was Drake’s first appearance in these post narrations. It was nice to see how a pro player navigates in a pod like this.
I really like that Atsushi deck. This channel inspired me to build Kairi which is quite similar. Might have to build Atsushi now
