    Interesting device Dan, best thing about these smaller trackers is that they can be hidden and thus harder to find if you are unfortunate to have your pride and joy stolen. Great informative vlog, cheers matey 🙂

    Just installed a Vodafone curve and I have full control and geofencing alert straight to myself who will react a lot quicker than a call centre! I also work in the telematics industry and only real-time tracking and altering will secure and altert you and these are also approved by most insurance companies 🤷🏼‍♂️🤓

    Great video as usual. Just a quick question, the internal battery, can this be changed once it’s dead? Or is the unit knackered once the battery has died?

    Great video and piece of kit. I just don't get the point of trackers after years of paying tracker on my last van. New van not paying the subs with little difference on insurance. If it gets nicked, I don't actually want it back!

    Hi Dan, my sister got this and had been very disappointed with it. The info on it, is that if it leaves its geo fenced area that its locked to, it will notify you immediately. But thats not the case. It will notify you at its next notification period 24hrs or 12hrs (more battery) by then, the van is in a container and out of the country. The company hasn't been that helpful. Do you know if this is the case as she brought it hoping to get an instant notification if it goes out of its locked area.

      @@TheTrudgians Hi Dan. Thanks for the really informative video. In the market for a tracker myself and was on the point of buying the Mi01 when I saw this comment. Do you know what the outcome of this was? If the tracker doesn't send an alert when it gets moved for 12 or 24 hours and there's nothing else that's alerted you to the fact it's gone, that seems a bit of a big flaw with this particular product 🤔

    Is it a replacement to the tracker I have or a further one

      Hey Colin, not knowing what you currently have - i would punt a guess this could be a useful additional one. but if you currently have a full "proactive" system consider this one as a viable back up.
      Hope that helps.

    Cheers Dan, watching a lot of videos it seems people are in two minds about tracker’s, ie, would you want your caravan back after it’s been stolen ?, I would think if it’s not too expensive for the yearly subscription then yes go for it, thanks again Dan,👍, how many tracker bars were eaten by making this video ???🤔😃.

      Im on a diet now... lol. Tracked vehicles usually are recovered far quicker than ones that are not - hence the time and oppurtuinity to ruin your pride and joy is limited. plus any damage or works needed will be covered by insurance. I for one would want it back.

    It seems very expensive for what it is, a £35 apple airtag would be a cheaper option

    • @79pcoop
      @79pcoop Год назад +2

      Won't work as security. The tag will notify anyone with an iPhone that the tag is on board. It will also chirp (make noise) after a certain amount of time of not connecting to your device.

      Walking is cheaper than driving, doesnt mean its always a good idea.

    "Pay a lttle more than EBay's £30" is actually pay over 10 times more plus £100 every subsequent year.

      I think the point being made is you get what you pay for. The Mi01 has an internal RF beacon running on LoRa technology which can pinpoint a device even if it's indoors or inside a shipping container. The "eBay specials" don't have this and can easily be scanned and removed! You really do get what you pay for...
