    Man, those kiss plates make such a nice clean edge on everything. It's so satisfyingly square everywhere, you'd hardly think it was forged instead of milled

    Your videos are very good, just work and no talking and no loud music, i love to hear the sounds and watch you work. You have a clean shop and your anvil and tools are always clean. Love that switch plate on your power hammer. What kind of power hammer is it and force? ..."please make more videos...Thank you.

      Thanks! More videos in the future for sure. My power hammer is a Sahinler that has a 110lb ram.

      I can't believe the orden and cleaning of your shop. The way you handle the power hammer is amazing, with all those tools and gadgets. Can i ask you to make a shop tour video? Thank you.

    Any chance you might do a video showing the switching plates with a how to build it?

    • @rigoniironworks
      @rigoniironworks  8 лет назад

      Andrew Botond You need a drill press, welder and metal lathe. The rest is scaling to fit your hammer die..

    Do those switching plates you use put extra wear on your power tool face, or is it negligible with good control? Really cool stuff.

    • @rigoniironworks
      @rigoniironworks  8 лет назад +2

      jandastroy No, the plates are mild steel, milled to size. I try to forge to the height of the kiss blocks without tearing them up too bad.

    Very nice! May I ask you,what is that power hammer ? It hits really hard for its size and the compressor seems really strong aswell.

    Did you heat treat the cutting part of the chisel, or is it hard enough given it as a "hot cut" tool?

    • @rigoniironworks
      @rigoniironworks  8 лет назад

      Jack Dawg Heat to bright orange and air quench to the touch. Heat again to 1000, then air quench.
