Super nice! Very cool tapered v-block you use to shrink the tube!
Thought I'd see you in the comments 😂
Thanks man, it's been working really well. I'm going to try a few different projects using this idea/tooling.
好巧
That is the cleanest workshop I've ever seen in my life...
I dont know how much you pay your local shop elves, but it isn't enough.
probably he made the project and learn many others areas before start to forge, some bees outside and a quiet place. Very Nice

The cleanest blacksmith in the world!
Blacksmith from the elves !!! Love the clever tooling, the no-talking, the nature intermezzo, the open and clean workshop! What I learned: precise stick-welding by holding the welding stick itself at the end. Why did I never think about that or did I never see that before?
Thats a mighty clean workshop.
Very cool. Nice shop.
Love your great idea to make the socket. Cleanest and most organized Blacksmith shop on the planet! Another great video!
What is the white matter used on iron which is red?
@@mohamedadly165 its called borax and it is used for forge welding to prevent oxidation and help the metal stick together
cleanest blacksmith shop i have ever seen. A clear sign that you take pride in your job
If I am going to show the World my shop and work, then it needs to be clean.
Torbjörn sent me here. So glad he did.
First blacksmith video I actually learned something from. great job!
My first attempt to make a socket copying your method turned out great!👍
Very impressive,, all the way AROUND. Shop, tooling, finished chisel. 👍👍
You can watch your work all day. High level of work. Excellent video. Thank you. I am delighted.
Nicely made saweet
The quality of your work is obvious, cleanly forged so close to final dimensions. Would love to own some of these chisels and slicks.
Good looking chisel, working environment
is very clean. Tools are really well made to get precise results, even longer production run.
Really, professional.
Dear Sir, if only I could have your workshop to have fun making stuff. You obviously do a lot of blacksmithing given your array of tooling and that magnificent power hammer. Thanks for sharing some of your work. Cheers.
Those taper dies are freaking cool. I’m going to make a few sets now.
Your Workshop is really wonderful.
Nicely made chisel.glad to see you back👍👍👍👍
Your tooling is fantastic, very well thought out and executed. That must have taken quite a bit of time to perfect, great video 👍
I thought about making knives this way but never considered making chisels like this. Very good!
love the seamless socket
Your shop is incredible. I am so glad I found your channel
thank you, too kind
Very nice, love the straightening jig when u quench, u have a very nice shop. Nice work.
A clean shop is a sign of a sick mind! ;) Actually, very nice shop you have. Would love to have one of my own.
This video is impressive on so many levels. 1) the method of creating the socket is genius. 2) the specialized tools you have made to make these chisels. Power hammer dies especially. Your forge welding technique is looks nearly flawless (from someone who has never picked up a hammer). The layout of your shop is super smart. Excellent work and video. Thank you.
Too kind, thank you.
I like this videos. Amazing working.
Just love your style! All that beautiful space between the shop objects makes everything look so peaceful.
Love your neat workshop, especially the floor. 👊👍

Wauw, Art out of an ArtShop! Thank you for sharing
Totally awesome
Very very very clean Job Good Luck
Very interesting how you combined machining, electrical arc welding, and forging to make the chisel.
Very nice
Very cool workshop, love the machinery and your ability to craft handy tools.
Clean work , very nice!
You're a neat Guy. I like your style. It's a nice orderly tic-tac going through your mind.
I love ur equipment you have everything you need,😘👍👍 from northeast meghalaya
Great work, thanks for sharing this approach.
Superb as usual
Your workshop, so Zen
I love the pattern forging system you used, you had you chisel blank pounded out in a relatively short time. The chisel blade you produced looked very much like a miniature slick.
No one can have that idolic a life of beautiful serenity in a beautiful welll equipped man shed of existential harmony without some hidden evil crapping on your day, its defying the laws of the universe 😯
Nice work
Very good
Really nice approach for sure !! Fantastic craftsmanship !!
Amazing Craftsmanship... Thanks so much for sharing...
Happy to see you again! Excellent. Your approach has influenced many items in my shop. Your powerhammer gizmo with interchangeable/flippable tooling is really handy! Indeed. A lathe and mill go hand in hand with forging. Outstanding methodical approach!
very good
You have a great working skills.....👌
Great video. Keep it up. I really enjoy seeing the power hammer tooling.
Que bela ferramenta!
Excelente formao.
Beautiful Work!
Only a sociopath would keep a workshop this clean. Only a torturer would wear that apron. Only a serial killer would choose those glasses! Seriously though, the work speaks for itself, great job!
Good Work
You, sir, are a genius
I officially dub thee "Tjorborn" of the USA! I love the video style, very well done. The forge work is quite excellent as well. ;)
5:25 A dream shop!
That was great, sir! I would love to purchase that beautiful chisel!
Çok güzel işler yapıyorsunuz, atölyeniz harika gerçekten, tam hayal ettiğim gibi bir atölye. işlerinizde kolaylıklar dilerim.
Shows soothing calm vistas of nature....then interupts it with HAMMER BLOWS....lol.
Образцовый порядок в мастерской!
Checked out the channel on Torbjörn Åhman's recommendation. He wasn't wrong.
Very much enjoyed the video. That shop is phenomenal!
Subbed.

Greta job!!! It’s a perfect piece.
I’ m sorry for my Inglish. I speak very bad.
Best regards
Thanks for this nice video . I like the mix of machining and forging that gives me a lot of ideas 😁👍👍👍
Hi, look like a very good chisel here, all the process seem to be well thinked. You could make surgery in a so clean shop ,man !!! LOL
Thanks for sharing !
dream workshop!
I remember machine shop, it's where I forge my very first chisel.
Beautiful.
If you are persistent, you can do that much
I’m glad to see such craftsmanship and quality in my neck of the woods! I see you’re in Huntsville, I’m in Lufkin
Great work. 👍
So Wonderful to have a "toyshop" like the one in vid. Nice work.
Hey Man. You have a large space and Nice machines! Well organized! Congratulacions!!!
Very 'Torbjorn Ahman' style of editing. I like it. I'm subscribing.
Nice video
Enjoyed that mate. Cheers.
Nice clean shop and nice clean forging.
I guess that it was a nimai (half laminated steel edge) forging.
Prior to through hardened billet blanks, this was the way nearly all forged chisels were made, but most of them had tangs, and socketed chisels usually had their sockets forged round a mandrel, not bored out.
Would love to see a video of that process.
i just went to your site...were neighbors! im up in fairfield, maybe ill see you at a hammerin soon :)
Nice - just found your channel and instantly added it to the dozen of forging/machining channels in my list.
Very good production quality and one of the tidiest workshops i've ever seen.
A small suggestion: perhaps have a little bit of explanation of what you're doing and the thought behind it.
Maybe written if you prefer that.
Very GOOD 👍
I thought Torbjörn Åhman had the tidest shop and cleanest, most detailed work. You have shot him out of the water.
EASY THERE LAD....you are verging on blasphemy.
He held the welding rod instead of the stinger for a more precise tack. I'll have to try that out
Great stuff John! I've been playing around with timber framing slicks and have never been satisfied with how the socket comes out. This is fantastic! Next time I'm down your way I'd love to learn more
No problemo, can show you what I've attempted so far. Still need a surface grinder for the backs of these, some day.
@@rigoniironworks do you sell these chisels
Класс! Браво мастеру!!!
Exepcional tiro o meu chapeu pra vc guerreiro !! 🤔😃😃👏👏👏👏
im just suprized you know about the diamond sandpaper plates they're all sold out now sadly. glad i got them when i did.
Very, very professional. Congratulations.
I'd buy one or two or three
Ótimo trabalho meu amigo
Super forging i ever seen
You obviously have perfection in mind have you ever made a set of bevel edged chisels for dovetail work? I bet you make a mint if you prices were right, an clearly those who understand what perfection is will gladly pay it.
Волшебник, в своём зАмке.
С меня подписка,
отличная работа. С уважением!
