the work is very clean, direct, nothing unnecessary, great very well designed dies and tools, if a surgeon would forge it would probably look exactly like this. Great work, thank you very much
Very nice! It would be really cool to get a little tour of your workshop to see what tools you use for different things, power hammers, presses, etc.... Given how immaculate your shop is, I think that'd be a popular video!
I have just found your channel and with no hesitation I subscribed . Sir I must say you are the most organised blacksmith I have seen . Your gigs and tooling are amazing , and your work shop WoW . Im going to paint my walls and sweep the floor . Cheers mate . :)
I am enjoying your channel. I love how orderly and clean your workspace is, I like how clean and perfect your forgings are ( to me anyway, a beginner) and I think what I enjoy most is your direct quiet presentation style. thank you. I find your work and methods inspirational.
Always astonishing to see your amazing tooling. I also really liked the aesthetic simplicity of this particular item so I went out to my home forge to see how close I could come without a power hammer or any specialized tooling. It was a fun project and i was fairly happy with my results. I had to do makeshift bottom swage by slightly flaring a piece of water pipe and used a ball peen with it to make the bowl.
Every time I find one of your videos, I remember why you're my favorite blacksmith-youtuber. Your work is elegant and perfect. And I only just realized I hadn't been subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work!
I was waiting for the power hammer tooling on the bowl of the spoon. I wasn't disappointed. Very clever, I think most would have just welded a handle on the bearing, buy your arrangement seems to allow more room to move the spoon under the bearing and lets you direct the force where you want it.
Nicely done John. Love the power hammer tooling. Seems every job I do I end up making a tool to make it easier. Time spent making tools is well worth it. Makes the next job even faster.
Yea the tooling was awesome to see. I took a job managing a university sculpture studio and between the time that I was a student there and then getting job, they sold off the power hammer. *gasp*
I always love your work.. it’s so crisp! I need to invite you to my shop.. don’t worry I’ve already procured the cleaning supplies to make you feel comfortable here. I just need you too show me how to use them!😃
William Cunha .. agreed.. they have very similar editing style for the videos, and both do wery presise and clean forging, but no-one has a cleaner shop !
I am so fascinated with you custom made, power hammer dies. Simply amazing how well they work and how well they are made. I guess if you make the same products over and over, custom tools are a time saver. My goodness, your work is impeccable. What does the local beeswax do for non tempered metal? Besides the color?
Your commitment to precision through die tooling is tremendously impressive. The designs are as spare and clean as your shop. But if you are going to drink Cafe du Monde coffee, where is the perfectly formed tray for the beignets?
Truly, thank goodness for this video. I've watched years of smithing videos on youtube and always loved smithing, but never really liked how smithing seemed to require so much grinding and polishing to look decent. Yet here we have a finished, clean, crisp product right off the forge block. This guy's dedication(as you said) to precision through tooling has given me hope for creating a shop where I can smith and forge clean and trim product.
mmmm cafe du monde. you are very meticulous and talented. The tooling is exceptional.
What a talented and magnificent work. Such an amazing clean workshop.
Bless you.
Cleanest most organized shop I have ever seen

My thoughts exactly, those dies look so immaculate and practical, could do just about anything with just a few switches. Nicely shot too, imo.

Hmm, it's possible. Maybe this summer.
Your videos show all of the necessary parts and none of the extra crap. Thank you.
Very good work sir ! Excellent !! 👍🏻

Everybody was waiting in anticipation to see how the tooling was used. Wow! What a coffee spoon!

This was cool to watch! Lots of different tool than I usually see on forging channels. Be safe and well! ❤️❤️❤️
first time viewer, and man those rigs for the power hammer are really neat. instant sub
The art of simplicity.

Nice! I love how you always seem to have just the right tool for the job...which is exactly the opposite of me. ;-)
Tool building is tedious and expensive. I try to make my tooling as universal as possible for projects.
Excepcional guerreiro!! 🤔😃👏👏
That would be good for tea as well
Beautiful

Thanks! I used beeswax since it will be used with foods.
@@rigoniironworks That makes perfect sense. Do you ever have to reapply the beeswax? Or does metal have 'pores' that the wax will penetrate.
