Happy 30th Anniversary Nevermind!🤘 Me and my friends made our own full band version of On A Plain thought you guys might would like! ruclips.net/video/HGumjp1AWFM/видео.html
I was there that night. They were asking me If I knew where to get weed before the show. HaHa I smoked them up. Didn't even know they were about to be the biggest band in the world. That's what peace and love is about!
I think they still would’ve been just as popular if they had put out any song on the album as the first single. They’re all so catchy and I can’t pick a favourite
Albin Samuelsson yeah, lol, was wondering what it was I was going to see when that moment was to arrive. Good call! Even though it had me laughing it also made me think/ask "Hey, can you blame him?!" I never had the chance to see them live & experience what that was like to witness them play in person. Especially during the bridge of 'Drain You'...I mean really, can you blame him?! lol
My favorite song, you can tell this was before the fame went out of control and he was still enjoying himself. Small clubs was where he wanted to be, wish he'd stayed there.
idk.... no doubt is a great performance of the song. I feel though (in 'MY' opinion, nothing more) that there are at least a few other performances of 'Drain You' that are better than this one here. I can understand if for example sum1 went to this show & had that golden opportunity of gtng to see them live in person. One reason I suppose would make any Nirvana fan favor performances such as this one here. Then again, we all Nirvana fans have our own different reasons in having 'favorites' of each track whether played live, studio or even demo versions that we feel were the best. All in all though, it is no doubt a great performance!
I'm also curious which versions you like more. I think this and monsters of spex are the two best versions ive seen. Live at the paramount is good too.
Each one is good I find it that this is good because of the intro just like smells like teen spirit in reading when they start off as another song and then totally cAtch u off guard
no cell phones yeah. sad one can see how cells take away from the intimacy that a band has with a crowd now a days. just google the recent foo fighter shows
How about YOU go to a show and YOU enjoy yourself. If it weren't for people filming shows you wouldn't have this video. Although I think it's stupid that people film terrible video with terrible audio from a terrible angle at shows, I don't think they should have that right taken away. There's no point on focusing on such minor stupidity when there's such bigger stupidity in the world to sort out.
i think kurt gave the tempo of the drain you in the beggining of the video... because they play it in different tempos all the time, particularly fast.
@@calliew311 If we're talking about records sold then no, but if we're talking about current popularity then yes - since Nirvana haven't put out an album in quite some time.

Okay was kurt obsessed with the word dankeschon? I know it mean thank you in German but I just noticed he said it here and then a at a show in cologne too
most likely a knock off, probably japanese. kurt found that the cheapest lefty guitars all came from japan so if he wanted to smash something, he knew where to go

tell us more!
We need more story bout them.
You smoked weed with kurt cobain? You legend
And then JFK lit up a cigar with you and Elvis sang about the whole thing right?
Kurt was into heroin at those point
Kurt actually said he wanted Drain you as the first single. He thought it was the one people would most like.
He was absolutely right. It’s in my top 20 song ever for sure
Green Mills I don’t actually have a List but surely Michelle by The Beatles, my melancholy blues By Queen and Nude by radiohead are some
@@zanghi_6177 Michelle and Drain You are top songs ever for me too. I absolutely LOVE that solo on Michelle. So freaking beautiful

Back then when people actually felt the music during concerts
Hahah, I love the hands to the left during the breakdown!

The breakdown is legend...and its way better than teen spirit
Yea i just wished he did the scream part at the end of it..
LOL those hands to the left during the bridge section!
This was my weekends growing up, I was so lucky to have live this era as a teenager🤜🔥🤛.
2:43 look the 3 of them headbanging together at the same time so cool
Lol I just noticed that
It's crazy that shift at about 0:25 transforms a crowd. I've always loved how this song starts out, haha.
thats what i thought as well 💪🏻
This gets my vote for best performance of this song (that I've seen). The album version is damn good too.
I was only a year old when this happened. It's still the best.
Those hands!!!
Came back for the show and the hands
Great performance 👏👌
most amazing version for me now. here they have real fun and its good energy. compare this to Rio.
lol Rio. He did some of the funniest shit there
