Like many Americans who love our democracy, I have had my doubts about President Biden's ability to go forward. This speech is historic and his greatest speech ever. I will throw my one vote and my meager means behind this man, President Joe Biden, and our democracy.
Joe Biden can't handle a debate stage. You think he can handle a negotiating table with Putin?

My posts are getting through on other message boards. Biden cannot be the candidate if we want to win. Think of the Supreme Court. There is no worse sign for a supposed democracy than when judges simply ignore and make up the law.

It was about the Supreme Court being supremely important, and how we cannot put up a weak candidate such as Biden.
Only we, the people, can set this right. Vote in the House and Senate members that will uphold our constitution and the rule of law.

At this point, voting won't work. The President must assume the dictatorial powers conveyed upon him by the Supreme Court ruling and act accordingly to restore our Constitution.

Every Judge and Every Prosecutor and Every Lawyer in the country need to come forward and demand impeachment of Thomas, Alito and Roberts.... they are not doing their job.
Being impeached and being convicted of impeachment are two different things though and Congress does not have the numbers to do so if voting along party lines. That is why Donald Trump was never convicted during his two impeachment trials.

These judges, often referred to as “Article III judges,” are nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Article III states that these judges “hold their office during good behavior,” which means they have a lifetime appointment, except under very limited circumstances.
Article III judges can be removed from office only through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction by the Senate.
Plus Kavanaugh, Barrett , and Gorsuch. Fire them all!

There should no longer be a SCOTUS. There should be something like The Judicial Inquiry Board and the Courts Commission with weigh to manage, over rule, reprimand judges, etc. in each state. And an official Judicial Advisory Board to advise only, for judges, lawyers, and maybe others. I know they're big jobs but a "SUPREME" court no longer works. They're taking their job title name literally.

How are crimes included as "official duties"? Article II Section 3 of The CONSTITUTION describes only a few things that the President does, but among them is "he shall take care that the Laws be faithfully executed". This country endured a bitter Civil War; it endured two World Wars and an awful depression. It should not be brought down because of one horrendous individual and six sanctimonious boot lickers.
If this ruling was made in any other "normal" year it would have been terrible. The fact that it has been made three and a half years after Jan 6th, is a NIGHTMARE. 44 previous Presidents were able to do their jobs in good times and bad, based simply on the the Constitution and the example of conduct before them. Only Nixon crossed the line. Only a person with criminal past or criminal intent would demand immunity to do whatever they want.

I am shaking with fear and anxiety about the direction of our country, and never thought we would have to deal with such rulings that give a criminal former president license to carry out even more criminal acts without punishment. This incident proves that the supreme court in it's current composition isn't free of corruption and needs to be expanded with more judges to reduce the influence of extremists.

As a Canadian I can’t imagine any of us visiting the US if Trump gets in. We would have no rights. We could be picked out of the security line up and sent away never to be seen. Why I don’t plan to visit Russia, China or Iran. And all because some people didn’t like Hillary.
