    It's actually made in Alabama at the new joint Toyota/Mazda facility. Some of the online resources are not entirely updated with regard to the leading "7' in the VIN. I initially thought it was made in New Zealand as well, but it's the second character in the VIN that distinguishes between US and NZ.

      Pretty much shows the lack of research by the reviewer.
      Could have looked on the drivers door frame. It’s is made in Huntsville Alabama alongside the Toyota Corolla Cross in the joint Mazda/Toyota factory.
      Perhaps he should slow down and do a little more research before going on and on in his annoying babble.

    I drove a cx-50 Meridian model yesterday. Absolutely loved it: handling, looks, and tech. The center seam was a non-issue for me--didn't notice it at all. I actually prefer the control knob versus the touchscreen. It's obvious Mazda did this for safety. Regardless, the system is the best of both worlds because with Apple car & Android auto u can have the touchscreen. The turbo version is awesome and still gets about the same gas mileage as the underpowered Honda CRV. Mazda makes vehicles that are fun to drive and this hits all of the marks of Zoom Zoom.

    I bought because I wanted a nice car for once that is reliable as a Honda or Toyota, had a non CVT transmission, sporty feel, and something with AWD.

    I've seen this one tested by a RACE DRIVER (Brian MAKSE) and he says it is the PERFECT DRIVER's CAR- and I take his word for it over most. He's tested it on dry road and on deep wet snow-- and loved it. I've seen this one tested by Sarah-N-Tune- and she did NOT baby it as some testers do-- but drove it aggressively in the desert and UP a hill that would make a JEEP blush- and it made it almost to the top with STREET TREADS... had it had the PROPER tires it would have walked up easily. After months of RESEARCH-- videos, specs checks- and talking to master mechanics all over-- I've decided on one of these.. UNLESS they're out of 2023s that I want-- and I have to settle for the 2024 which are NOT as nice (they've rounded off the aggressive looking body and it's NOT as nice).. then I may change to either CX 30 or CX-5... (most likely the CX-30 after watching many REALISTIC tests.

    I bought a new 2021 Mazda CX-5. I believe the CX-50 has the same engine. It has burned engine oil from day one and getting progressively worse. I looked up and found a bulletin for my car to be repaired. I took it in and they agreed that my car fell under that bulletin according to the VIN but, that I had to wait for the engine light to come on. By my calculation that won't happen until one oil change after my warranty is up. I only have 15,000 miles on it. Worse yet is that the RUclips posts from Mazda or it's dealerships take out negative reviews. Sleezy. Don't take a chance and buy Mazda’s. They don't stand by their products. I"ll come back to this site to see if gold pony deletes it, then we'll know if he's also bias. I hope not because I like him.

      @@jaycarrie1 I love mine too. It's a beautiful car in every way but you're right, it's mostly a dealer thing. I went through Mazda and they said there's nothing they can do. Dealers are independent. I'm just saying that until the manufacturer gets their act together to hold off on buying this vehicle. It's only certain VINs. Not worth the risk of being in my position. Give it a couple more years. The issue has not been resolved yet according to Mazda, consumer agencies, and the people who have a lawsuit against them, which I recently became part of.

      @andrewmponeill Год назад +3

      If there's a bulletin on it then it's a known problem that will be fixed regardless of warranty, no? I'd be surprised if they don't fix it. They've been using this drivetrain for a long time, they're proven reliable. There must be an issue with some and your VIN falls under it.

    It's been a long while since I've commented on one of your videos, apologies, but I have been watching. this is a good review to capture everything you can get with options on this model from them.
    came immediately upon seeing Mazda in the title and knowing your a car reviewer enthusiasts yourself have to get your opinion: I don't know about you, but to Mazda has fallen off. this intense focus on continuous SUVs is killing me. not to mention their other one of trying revamp the Miata in some big fashion, talks of a hybrid? that's the least of their worries right now, their current EV is not performing well at all. but even more damning for me them is this- they don't have an in house performance division they can call upon. they did away with it in quite recent history. their interior design language is now dated. they don't have a touchscreen interface, they went backwards on that! something from 2013 has a touchscreen! I should know as one of the reasons I haven't been looking at car videos that much not just yours but others as well is due to me just remaining focus on paying off my 2013 MazdaSpeed3 used but unmodified.
    it's really sad as their competition has gone way ahead of them now. they have their own in hous le performance divisions, updated interiors & a various car line-up. Mazda just has the Miata, 3 Sedan/Hatchback, & plethora of SUVs all with relatively the same interior. they have generated nothing lately that demonstrates raw power that's exclusive to them in the form of a traditional car (sedan, hatchback, or coupe). with how they look now if I already didn't know about Mazda, I wouldn't have believed you if you told me they had professional racing roots! I don't know who's heading Mazda right now but whoever it is they need to step back & let someone else who a new refreshed outlook on the future of the company or leave altogether cause right now they haven't done much to really standout!
    while this new model is nice for outdoor adventuring, it's yet another SUV from them that has the same interior as their other models. very concerning. what are your thoughts on Mazda and what they need to do for the future?
