Thanks for that. Changed my wife's 2012 just now. We'd not known of the need to do it, but the Pureflow commercial got my attention. And oh my, hers was filthy! AND it was topped with an inch of fluffy crap. Somebody had made a nest. Here's a tip folks: thankfully I'd slipped some cardboard (same size as the filter) under the old one before removing it, so it and other crap on top of the filter didn't fall down into the blower. I learned that from another video before doing my own (a 2015 Sierra, also bad but not AS bad). No more stinky air, and much better flow from the vents. Crazy that I'd been driving 40+ years and didn't know about this. (I hear that some dealer service depts push it, using fake dirty ones. I'd not experienced that.)
@@bml33 Went to AutoZone, bought one for $9.99 and changed the one that was there for 8 years almost 9. The color was dark gray. Not too many leaves in it. To anybody reading. It is easy and cheap!!! Do it yourself!!!! I even put essential oils in the in cabin filter to make it smell good inside the car.
In the video at 4:58 you can see me holding the filter with the number printed on the side. That appears to be a newer number. The OEM filter I removed had a different number that you can also see on the removal.
I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata hybrid, I'm not sure where to get the correct air filter from and if it is the same air filter as the regular sonata since mine is a hybrid does anyone know ? or give me a link to get the cabin air filter from
I looked it up on the parts site I use. They are showing the same part number. www.hyundaioempartsdirect.com/oem-parts/hyundai-cabin-air-filter-won-t-fit-2019-santa-fe-3sf79aq000?c=Zz1odmFjJnM9Ymxvd2VyLW1vdG9yLWFuZC1mYW4mbD00Jm49QXNzZW1ibGllcyBQYWdlJmE9aHl1bmRhaSZvPXNvbmF0YSZ5PTIwMTMmdD1oeWJyaWQmZT0yLTRsLWw0LWVsZWN0cmljLWdhcw%3D%3D
@@bml33 thank you so much this was very helpful.. I was thinking of getting it from autozone .. does it make a difference if I just get the air filter from autozone or does getting it from Hyundai’s website better ?
@@eakrabarichi2131 It probably doesn't make a difference. Just make sure to cross reference the oem part# with the aftermarket. I jusat prefer to use oem parts on my cars.
One of the best demonstrations I have ever seen! Thank you!
My guy you just saved me like $300 from the dealer thank you and God bless
woah...$300 is a LOT even for a dealer for this! You sure that didn't include other services?

94,000 miles on my 2013 Hyundai Sonata and I have never changed the in-cabin air filter. Cannot wait to see what color mine is
Probably black!
