The total number of miles a trucker can drive in one day is subject to a specific set of rules and regulations. That said, understanding these regulations is important to making the most of your transportation budget and cutting out costly delays.

450-550 is probably a good average, I personally have done 620 being governed at 65 , I’ve done that 2 or 3 times west coast north east you will only get about 400-500 max governing at 65 , these guys getting in the 700s are not safe , they are speeding and or fudging their logs , best thing is follow the rules and be 110% safe ......

8hrs x 60mph = 480 consecutive miles
3hrs x 60mph = 180 consecutive miles
480 miles + 180 miles = 660 miles for a steady day with no surprises. Add another 10mph and you can get an additional 110 miles, but its nearly impossible to get the full 770 miles in 11 hours.

due to heavy traffic it can some times be very tough to AVG 60, also big hills and mountains can slow you down
