Well I you're sitting at a cafe table doing a sketch it's only polite to have a glass of something (or three), helps with the jiggly line technique.

Very nice drawing. I've been working on trying to do trees better with my pen/colored pencil work. Ever do trees with your style? I'm finding representing them on paper is a lot harder than I expected.

Yeah, trees can be really tricky, when I draw them i concentrate on getting the structure right, the trunk and the main branches, and giving them texture to show the bark. Then I stylise the green canopy as blocks, trying not to focus on the leaves... But end up drawing leaves anyway. I try to get character to the trees, let them express themselves.
