We have had the opportunity to use a variety of different guns in varying calibres over the years and can say with confidence we’ve been nothing but impressed and surprised.
From the tops of the South Island to the bush of the North in New Zealand it has performed well in areas beyond just firing off rounds.
It is a rifle that can be easily overlooked with its seemingly basic appearance. However, there is a rugged beast underneath.

🇦🇺😎👍We aren’t allowed silencers in Australia. It’s all about safety…Never put your finger up the mag well and touch the mag catch as the spring falls out. Fortunately for me the gunshop fixed it for free. They told me it’s a design fault. I purchases an Oryx chassis ( the only one apparently) and that solved the catch problem.10 shot Lucky 13 mags work well. As for moa I didn’t achieve it . Perhaps it’s me or perhaps it’s the ammo….great video😎👍guys
I have never had an issue with the catch while in the standard stock or issues with the spring . Fitted a GRS fenris and found moving the mechanism over from the standard to the GRS to be very difficult . getting the two pins in the two troughs as well as the catch and spring was not easy . Not a great design but it works well enough .

What about the plastic trigger and trigger group? You don't think that could be a problem for longevity?
I have the m18 in 308 love it the only thing I would say needs work in the bolt it’s smooth but you need to slam it hard sometimes. Hopefully it gets better with time .
You have to do that because you’re fighting against the extractor and double ejector pins. I think of it like cycling a Lee-Enfield if you’re familiar with those.

I got mine brand new with Sig 3-9x40 scope and carry bag for $1290 here in Vic, Australia. Pretty decent.

Hey bud. I got one in 30-06, it's a great pick. I mean it's got all the same features. Personally I love it as a do-it-all hunting rifle. It's put down a couple deer already and I don't intend to change it anytime soon. It's actually paired with a cheap Burris Fullfield 4x12 scope and shooting dead on. Trigger is awesome, light and crisp. Bolt is chunky and smooth. I mean, go for it.
