Looks a solid rifle. You could imagine this being the one rifle you'd reach in the cabinet for whether it was stalking, foxing or just enjoying some good honest time behind the trigger 🙏

My one regret with Mauser is that I sold the one that my grandfather returned from WW2 Germany with. He had an officer surrender to him and handed him his Walther and Mauser both engraved.
The Mauser shot like a charm, I sold it to buy a Sako L579 in 270 Win, another tremendous rifle. But that Mauser put smiles on just looking at it. Firing it was an honour.
Nice review, Mauser and Sako have sweet actions, and deadly accurate to boot.

How do you find the M18 Burnished coating? I have been debating myself about getting a base plastic stock M18 in 6.5 x 55, I currently have an old M96 with a butchered stock I have been thinking of trading in on the M18.

Hi Chirs. Performance doesnt seem to be as good as your personal Mauser M12 video you posted about 2 weeks ago. I can see a bigger dispersion with this rifle. Why do you think that is? It also looks worse than the M18 Fenris video you did a year ago

    • @chrisparkin431

No two rifles of identical specification shoot identically and regardless, the ammo is from different batches, different specifications and calibres. That is why manufacturers suggest a tolerance and not an exact group size

Both the trigger blade and the mechanism are made of composite. The trigger guard and the magazine are also plastic.
In Sauer 100, the trigger is metal. Otherwise that is the same gun coming from the same company group (Blaser).
