Questions here : 1. I found fuel trucks occasionally. How to utilize the fuel in the truck? 2. I build farms and 1 cookhouse. But the food production process is very slow which compells me to keep up with the scavenging to feed my zone. How to utilize farm and cookhouse to get a self-sufficient zone?
Hello, 1. Use it to drain the fuel for cars And Ram a bunch of enemies with it :) 2. It takes a lot of farms to completely stop getting canned food from the map
Instead of leaving buildings close to base for later I just start the game by making 3 squads since the game gives you weapons for two fully armed and one half armed squad. Then the two fully armed squads rush to find a vehicle while the half squad is looting the immediate area to gather some basic supplies quickly. Having vehicles is the biggest difference in the early game, since even the smallest sedan can carry as much as several squads while moving many times faster, so in total one squad with a car is worth 5 to 10 times more than the best squad possible that's running on their feet.
enemies, zombies, dogs are easy when you have vehicle. Shoot them and after drive back and again shoot and again drive to back 2- Replace 4 warehouses (they may small no matter it is) at the corners which they are far away from each others.. Night time, replace your 4 squads (team ) each corners. When their ammo finish, they will quickly take new ammo near the warehouse. I have 6 squads. Remaining 1 squad patrolling around map. And other staying opposite site of patrolling and supporting corners. 3- When your vehicle and squad are full of products, they want to go to warehouse automatically. Distance to the warehouse may a lot. And return it may take a lot of time. You lost time on the way. It may better scavenging other places and your other squad take the products. 4 - Keep research workers as much as more. 5- When you build home, when there are empty places at home, people are want to join you. And when your population is more, everything is easier. Only you need to feed them. For this, greenhouse is seems better than field. 6- My population is now 300, and I did not research any gun technology and I did not make any fortified walls or towers. I received automatic rifles from enemies and have tactics as explained 2nd.
Ah, nice, I have my own eye on a few such games. There is one I showcased before , it is a bit silly, less serious than this one: ruclips.net/video/qq7eWSBevz8/видео.html
Banished! Yes! Juggling the workforce to suit the demands. At night, I create a well-armed garrison squad, then send out patrols made of two squads each, to keep the scavenging going safely 24/7. Also I scavenge high-value locations with more than one team, to clear it faster. Still tinkering. I may experiment with 'outstations' with a tower and a small warehouse to speed-up clearing of more remote locations. Anybody know how the algorith for zombie-spawning and horde-size works? 🧐
One thing that shouldn’t be overlooked is that you need room to expand, a really small town or a peninsula doesn’t leave a whole lot once you get to 300 people
Good point. It is a nice place to learn the basic but not to get to the end game. On the other hand having open areas around a few buildings makes for a great killing filled and opens up lots of fields of fire.
This is exactly what I think. this is Banished with zombies and militants. It is a simulation game with not much weather and space problems, but zombies and militants.
I love this game but find it pretty difficult to get past day 20, it’s annoying I can’t get my squads to just get back in the cars, they will just leave the car behind to walk back when inventory is full rather than getting back in the car, pretty annoying to have to spend a whole in game day to go and get the car again. And the number of survivors does not increase very quickly which sort of ruins the city building aspect of it
