I do enjoy maps like this because of all the large buildings close together enabling almost an infinite supply of building materials by deconstructing buildings starting only a block or two away. When you've cleared them out and you know how large your base could end up being, you can literally just start taking all the others down for resources. Very helpful too when the cities are usually limited on wood early on.
One main advantage of putting your base in Glasgow is it now turns into a present day city management simulator. Those hordes of freaks scrambling on all fours across a desolate and abandoned hellscape of a city.....is what we call a real Saturday night.
A good thing to think about when choosing buildings is line of sight. You had a lot of buildings jutted up against each other and so they did not have 360 degrees of view and couldn't defend your base from one eagle's eye location. I typically like to choose a base taller than the other buildings so it can see around a good chunk of buildings people will be holing up in.
If you have contact with the devs, can you ask if they can allow you to make buildings 1 if they’re touching? That would help your home base area. Then again, that might cause problems for what each building is… Maybe claimed buildings that are touching can share defensive troops, but you get a small debuff for each building sharing troops?
It’s automatic, if you queue a few buildings for them to scavenge they will go back to Homebase when full automatically and go back to scavenge the rest. HOWEVER it’s quite buggy and sometimes just makes them scavenge and leave stuff in the building instead of taking it home to unload

I'd... Have to agree xD
I’m finding that deconstructing buildings is one best way on getting resources, well small to medium size buildings
Terrace Circle Great Neck New York 11021. My favorite map so far. Beautiful roundabout.
It's really cool how it has real world

Cause of how they were though the inner bit made it easy as heck to switch between buildings =]

They aren’t zombies. They’re more like vampires
I think there is a way to have people go home with supplies when full, but don’t quote me on that.
