Infection Free Zone Review - Very Addictive and Challenging
Infection Free Zone is a new early access release on Steam about a virus that has started an apocalypse and tasks you with building a base to keep some sort of civilisation going and one of the best things about this game is the fact that you can choose almost any real city in the world to set your base in.
This game has a lot of depth to it from managing your base and finding survivors to scavenging and working for resources, the challenge isn't easy though as hordes get mutations and things to help them out and by day 10 you'll start to feel a struggle, it's up to you to survive or fall victim to the virus. Hmm. You posted this just about the same time I got the game.
My experience differs from yours quite a bit. I found the beginning of the game decently enjoyable but the main issue is scaling, the hoards will inevitably become so huge you can’t kill them all before day time and they will evaporate any defensive structure you place in less than a second. I understand it’s in Beta but the lack of polish in some areas leads me to not recommend anyone buy it, yet.
I encountered bugs like squads or enemies getting trapped in the terrain and the worst one was quest events involving searching a building spawning in buildings I own resulting in me being forced to deconstruct them and reload the game in order to proceed.
I would give it a 5/10 personally but I think it has the potential with a lot more work to be a 9/10 one day.
I don’t think even in it’s completed state it would be worth more than $40usd though.

I got the game yesterday assistant I couldn't deconstruct any buildings and I can't select on an area where I have workers to change it to a certain amount of workers
