@@universaltoycollector seriously! Great job and the figures looks awesome. Amazing to have some of your original childhood collection, now made even more special.
Appreciate that Gary, thank you. I'm over the moon with how the figures have scrubbed up, plus actually having them in my collection now is awesome. Looks like you had a great time at your latest convention.
Excellent attic find / childhood MOTU restoration video, Stu. The figures certainly look better for their " bath time " and leg fix. Just need to find their bits and bobs and it will be a great job done. :)
Thank you Luke. To be fair I am fairly happy with how the restoration went. Definitely very fiddly in places, but overall, glad to have these figures back in the collection.
Nice one Stu! Good to see these come back to life 👍Any restoration can be frustrating and fitting he-bands can be cruel - believe it or not I can swear my head off during a restoration but most of the time I cut those 🤣
Respect to you Stu for sticking with it. As i sat and ate my dinner I laughed and tried to instruct you and agreed with u on the pain of it all. I remember doing this 2 yrs back and started filming but never posted the vid cause it took to long, so hats off to you Stu, well done 👍So happy you found these figures mate so you have some of your original toys in your collection now ❤
Thank you Matthew, very much appreciated. To be fair I thought it was going to be a lot tougher getting those rubber bands through, but it wasn't too bad. I am absolutely delighted to have some of my childhood toys in my collection now.
Great video. I miss my childhood HE-Man figs. I recently picked up a few original Star Wars figures from a charity shop that could do with a good clean. Is the soap, water and toothbrush method ok to use on them do you think?
Great effort Stu, a few points I noticed a, I hope that was your toothbrush you used? b, I'm glad your not my surgeon! c, you have way more patience than me! You must be very pleased with how they have turned out. Especially as they're your own childhood toys. Will they take pride of place in your collection now?
Lol in answer and response to your points. A, it was my old travel toothbrush. B, I'd make a shocking surgeon. C, I actually surprised myself with how patient I was with doing this. Over the moon with both having them in my collection and how they now look. I need to find a spot for them in the collection.
I knew it would be comedy gold!!! Please post more ‘How not too’ vlogs. 🤣👍🏽
I would do if only I knew how to 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Gary you are man after my own heart, honestly I was laughing on many occasions
Anyone who has changed motu leg connectors gets my respect. Its not my favourite thing to do either. Great video mate👍
Much appreciated Chris, thank you. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Tricky in places but overall, not a bad job.

Thank you Kieron. I know I've got a few accessories on the way. I will be keeping an eye out for the other bits I need.
Great video Stu, those he-bands really aren’t easy to fit, you did well my friend, love a good restoration, new lease of life for them 👍
Thank you Luke. To be fair I am fairly happy with how the restoration went. Definitely very fiddly in places, but overall, glad to have these figures back in the collection.
Great job, Stu. You could have been a surgeon with those skills 🎉
Lol, thanks Boba, not too sure about being a surgeon though lol.
those cleaned up pretty nicely. well done, brother.
Appreciate that, thank you. I'm really pleased with how they scrubbed up.
Make it so 😂😂😂 brilliant job Stu! Brought them back to life! 👌
That is all your doing Christian, lol. Yeah, really happy with how they have turned out.

I generally don't have the patience to do too many restorations, lol. I'm too lazy to edit the swearing out, lol.

Hahahah I do love watching you struggle with things, makes me laugh out loud with your commentary “tits and arse” hahahah
In all honesty. I was expecting it to be a lot worse...."tits and arse" was quite tame, lol.
@@universaltoycollector Isn't " tits and arse " the real name for MOTU?! :)
@@kieronball8962, 🤣🤣🤣 in my eyes.....yes lol.
I think the Gi Joe O-rings look a lot easier than this, this does look tricky
100% they are essier. The lighting didn't help, nor the fact I only had 1 pair of hands lol.
Great video. I miss my childhood HE-Man figs. I recently picked up a few original Star Wars figures from a charity shop that could do with a good clean. Is the soap, water and toothbrush method ok to use on them do you think?
I always use washing up liquid and a soft bristle toothbrush, to clean my vintage action figures.
I'm with Kieron, a soft bristle tooth brush works. It's just a gentle scrub....you don't need to brush too hard.
Nice work! You are THIS CLOSE to 500 subs!
Thank you Goji, very much appreciated. Not far off now 👍
"Slap my thigh and call me Susan" is outstanding. May I use that? Also I take baths with modern toys sometimes, don't talk about it much.......
Lol, what you do behind closed doors is your business, lol. If you do use that saying you need to get it on film lol.
Awesome thanks! I assume that is just basic soap and water for the initial clean? Nothing else added?
Appreciate you watching, thank you. Yeah just warm water and washing up liquid was all I used to get tbese clean.....plus an old toothbrush.
