About time to Barry Allen restore the timeline hopefully that's Destro joined him in the battlefield to face against the reverse flash. Next week Armageddon crisis event finale to join the team an epic showdown.
Despero, Destro is in Cobra (no Kai)
He got so much energy to kill Barry but he isn’t interested in killing the reverse flash
To be fair he'll be back in Part 5 saying he might still cause Armageddon
@@MatheusPereira-kl5tc we are going to have to see but also if he knows so much about the world how did the reverse flash slip his mind or HIS “THIRD DAMN EYE” 👁
@@AM-uf6bs He doesn't, he saw an orange lightning bringing destruction wherever he goes and realized The Flash was destroying the world. And though he's a psychic he was already saw having to actively needing to know where his mind is aiming at. He didn't knew Barry was the Flash nor any details on anything. Only that in a certain day of 2021 Flash attacked innocent people and now brings Armageddon upon the world.
@@MatheusPereira-kl5tc true but I feel like if he can time travel he shoulda did his research before he started threatening people he literally put team flash all of them on t shirts and felt no remorse for it
@@AM-uf6bs With that I agree. Despero killing Team Flash was one of those moments where the "villain" only makes something villainous gratuitously to remind us he's a psychotic monster who delights in suffering and who to cheer for as if it wasn't obvious enough by the last 3 episodes where he took extreme measures and yet refrained from unnecessary harm like keeping Top alive. That's common in screenwriting. Like Killmonger who choked an old lady because he was making too much sense for a MCU movie antagonist, throwing development away for the sake of boundaries
So as we get closer to the end, i feel like we can talk about this now. Some people feel as if Despero was kind of the "back burner" villain for this event. Like they didn't do enough with him giving the whole premise of Armageddon. What do ya'll think? Did we see enough Despero? Not enough? Doesn't matter?
I think he got adequate time and served his purpose
@UserName0791 yes you cold say that but if thanwe didn't manipulate the timeline there's no Despero coming from 2031
Tbh Despero was more of a misguided hero. Bro was just trying to save the world by any means necessary. Thawne(who is and forever will be) the only real villain that matches Barry.
@@renfx4187 I agree. he had a fairly ample amount of screen time and his motivations were explored too.
I think he was more of a anti hero
does this mean that barry will have his normal speed back or no? since all the changes thawne made got fixed wouldn’t that mean barry never got his powers taken away
I guess it doesn't even matter, he restored connection to the speedforce because of Iris, even if black lightning took some of the connection Iris restored it!

I Guess Despero is desperate to kill barry.....you get it because...his name is des-pe-ro and...desperate you get it.....bye now
I liked the concept for the Reverse Flash Point. After seeing Barry's flash point, Thawne uses that as inspiration to create his own, but does a better job a influencing the results. He got what he wanted: to be the Flash. He took Barry's life in every sense of the meaning, and left Barry with Thawne's sloppy seconds. Thawne's only flaw was that he wanted Barry to suffer, and Barry had hours to undo it all with what resources he had left.
If you think of it the actor playing despero is also Van Gogh in Doctor Who
ZOIDBERG is Soo talented
Indeed
Omg I thought he looked familiar 😭
I keep crying whenever I see his face because he is such a great actor for sure
He is also a mob boss in Daredevil.
Can you imagine how Barry would react if he found Iris dead i mean we all saw how he was after Savitar killed her in that timeline how would you all think he would react?
I'd have a feeling Despero would have probably died... As technically speaking Flash has the potential to defeat anyone, with control over all momentum of any universe. Although, that would be a massive step up for the Flash as he'd basically be a God in the universe if that happened, and would definitely need nerfing
@@mastere6115 This is the second time Iris's death was erased from the timeline
He would break his code and kill reverse flash there by making reverse flash win

I'm stuck here for five teeen longgg yearss
Yo I just realized that's Vincent van goph from Dr who. Sweet.
So thanks to despero, barry was informed early of thawne`s nefarious plans.. even when he didn`t knew about it... because of despero he was able to direct barrry into a self investigation in which he discovered thawne`s plans to create a reverse flashpoint in which barry undone it by using armaggedon.. because the last time barry did it, barry failed! because of despero`s intervention he was able to succeed where him 2031 failed so clearly despero was the real hero of this crossover event, if he hadn`t done what he did his adopted homeworld in 2031 would have perished... but who knows which versionof despero we`ll see next episode I`m just jossling in anticipation!
Love these latest episodes. It's actually exciting to see the flash have good writing again. I will say the time travel confused the hell outta me. How does going to the future alter the past when in previous seasons we saw that future alterations have no effect on the past.
When in the future 2031, Barry learned what Thawne did to the past, Barry then traveled back into the past and stopped Thawne from altering the past, thus preventing that future.
you call this good writing, that's sad.
@@joshuaward6480 you don't think it's better than previous seasons
It is bad writing. No effects from the major crossover. Thawne messed up with timeline a lot. He makes a lot of changes it can't be undo with no effect. He changed almost 22 years of timeline.

This man went from playing Vincent Van Gough to a super villain
I thought DIon was with Iris, why didnt he do anything against despero to keep him from hurting her, is he following the cosmic rule to not interfere or something.
As cool as it was to see Damien, it should of been Dion filling that role and helping barry
I think he was probably trying to find barry or something and maybe Thawne hid the changed timeline or did something like that, it might've made it harder for Dion to find him.
I have a feeling the reason Dion wasnt there is because technically the timeline hadnt been fixed for a second, so the forces hadnt technically been born in that universe (as Thawne talks about how the speed force “chose him” in that timeline) but it could also be that Dion couldnt interfere. Either way the timeline in these episodes hurts my brain lol
@@CrowsTales wouldn't make sense. Cause the forces exists across space and time for eternity and kinda like in the comics as well but I don't know if they retcon it here so yeah.
@@CrowsTales Isn't Deon an ordinary person who was granted the powers of Stillforce?
Woah. Things got dark fast.
Despero has been busy
I watched the episode twice and I’m still confused.
Why does Barry have Eobards suit? Why is his lighting red? Why does Despero come back to stop Barry Allen when the Flash of his world was always someone else? The second he arrived back in time Despero should have realized things were vastly different from what he is familiar with.
From what I understand, In Despero’s world Barry was never a hero. He is the Reverse Flash. Thawne dragged his name through the mud as he created a villain for himself to fight after becoming the Flash himself. To do that he killed Barry as a child and made it so he was stuck by the bolt of lighting that originally gave Barry his powers. Meaning that version of Barry never became a speedster. So it should have been Thawne using speed mirages, future tech and vibrating his face and voice to make it impossible to tell who was under the mask while creating his own arch enemy. All to make himself seem the better hero.
This part I get.
It’s when Barry arrives that I get confused. Because everyone seems to know him immediately. Then he goes off to get into his suit (which should be in his flash ring) when he sees Thawne. But when he comes out he’s wearing the Reverse Flash’s costume? And he’s cloaked in red lighting?
Doesn’t that mean he’s using the negative speed force? How is that even possible? Shouldn’t the fact Thawne was struck by lighting that night, not Barry, mean that he is connected to the true speed force and never created the negative speed force at all? I get that it looks cool, but Barry’s lighting should still be the normal colour.
This is where I’m officially lost.
Despero should have known there was a change in the timeline. At the end of this episode he literally says he could feel it when Flash changed things back, but apparently not when Thawne did anything. Despero should be from Barry’s future. He shouldn’t be from a reverse flashpoint where Thawne killed Barry as a child.
If he was he wouldn’t have come back to this time, which is apparently, from his records, when the Flash first turns rouge. Which also turned out to be Thawne moving between timelines to further mess with Barry. But again in Depsero’s timeline Barry never turned rouge. He was always the villain, right from the start (except it was really Thawne since Barry died as a child).
When Despero takes Barry to the future he shows him Thawne running as he destroys the world. Since it’s Thawne wearing the suit. But you don’t see Barry running ahead of them. So why does Despero think Barry is the flash exactly? If he didn’t see Barry ahead of Eobard while they were running, Despero should have gone back in time to stop Thawne not to stop Barry.
Meaning that Despero should be utterly baffled to see Barry Allen as not only a hero but as the Flash as well when he first goes back in time.
And where is Eddie? If Thawne went back and killed Barry, where is his ancestor in this world? Shouldn’t he be alive? Not even a passing remark about what Thawne did to preserve his own future? And why does he look like Harrison Wells? None of his team thinks it’s weird? He is literally walking around wearing a dead guys face!
And what happened to the negative still force? Did they just forget that plot point?
Holy crap, I can’t even tell if I’m over thinking this, or if I’m just too stupid to follow the plot. Seriously I have no idea what’s happening anymore. Can someone please help clear this up?
(Oh and incase this came off as a rant I’m sorry. I really did enjoy this episode and the season so far as a whole. It was also amazing to see Grant in the Reverse Flash suit. But after rewatching it twice, I still can’t connect the pieces in my head. I hope the last episode will clear some of it up)
The plot is just dumb, it's not you overthinking it.
i just assumed that when reverse flash changed the time line it was wishy washy changing. and despero went back in time before it effected him. (remember when barry made flashpoint he didnt know the history of that world. so if you travel through time your memorys dont change when the time line changes.
@@corrupt5025 yeah the concept of a Reverse Flashpoint is actually really cool and seriously messed up, but this was all poorly handled. Just like the original Flashpoint was at the start of season 3. So much wasted potential.
My interpretation is that the Negative Still Force can be used to rewrite reality as well as travel through time undetected, so in the Reverse-Flashpoint timeline, Barry has taken Eobard's place as the Reverse-Flash, and Harrison Wells has been wiped from everyone's collective memory. However, because Eobard used the *Negative* Still Force, all of the alterations as well as the timeline changes *slowly* trickle into the main timeline before they override the main timeline permanently. This explains why everyone is aware of Barry in 2031 despite him being killed as a child. Eddie in Reverse-Flashpoint might have stayed in Keystone City and been the 'failure' that Eobard believes him to be.
As for Despero, he probably left 2031 after the natural disasters started happening but *before* Eobard starting chasing Barry, explaining why Despero went after the Flash in 2021, not knowing his identity yet. Like Eddie Thawne, Despero is a variable that Eobard didn't predict, and is what leads to his eventual defeat once again.
You're not overthinking it or too stupid for the plot. The writers failed to make these plot points absolutely clear in the script. Hopefully Armageddon Part 5 can rectify this somewhat.
@@TMSokoya thank you. That explanation definitely makes the most sense.
Is it my imagination, or is the CGI when Despero changes form really bad?
Nah it’s you, in the comics that’s how he changes and his true form is just like the comics

Barry saved the world because he was smart enough to go to the future and see what Thawne did, without that there would be no episode.
So he ultimately saved the world because of his actions.
Iris is also technically now a meta human due to her time sickness and connection to the speed force so I think it's fine that she can help Barry through that.
In the context of the show it works when it is used effectively.
Barry has saved the world numerous times without her.

if the PED removed all timeline changes shouldn't the only hero's be Arrow and Flash, also
Barry should have only had his powers for a year at this point, he should have the season 1 suit, Star Labs should be under construction mid Cisco version mid wells version, Iris should be dating Barry instead of being married since they would have only just started dating, their should be no team flash Barry's parents should be alive, Joe should be homeless or still dead Barry should have an apartment instead of a loft, Harrison Wells should own Star labs, his wife and newly born child should be there, Thawne shouldn't have showed up yet at and if he does look like Matt not Tom, Oliver should still be alive, one more thing all the meta's would be showing up for the first time so they could reuse villains like pied piper for third time and it would be cause the particle accelerator would have gone off only 1 year prior this time. I know it met in this timeline but they could of had it turn out Eobard's plan wasn't to steal or ruin Barry's life but to return the timeline to it's original state in a way where Barry didn't know it and did it himself, plus then it would have been a guaranty that the how ends in from that point 3 years and would have been interesting to watch, and what would have worst is if Barry wanted his life back then he'd have to go wither convince Thawne to kill his mother who would either refuse or not know what Barry's talking about so then Barry would ave to dress up as Thawne and kill his mother or kill his mother as himself so when his mom saw him she'd refuse to talk to season 1 Barry traumatizing him and Barry would be trying hunt himself or Eobard could tell past Barry he killed his own mom or he wore red then
Episode 4
Best:
- Fight Scenes between Barry & Thawne
-
The scene between Thawne & Barry where Thawne was explaining why he did what he did to create Armageddon.
Worst:
- Anything involving Chillblaine & Frost
- Chester & Allegra ( another relationship that just feels forced like Jesse & Wally in S3).
- Every time this episode mentioned love being the solution to Barry current situation.
This is actually frustrating, if in the pre-Armageddon timeline, Barry supposedly died, because Thawne went back in time and killed a younger version of him, making the one we see post-Armageddon a living paradox who is not supposed exist and is soon to be deceased’s because time is catching up with him. How come the Black Flash did not return to kill Barry restoring the Post-Armageddon timeline.
Iris being used a as plot device. I’m so sick of that.
