Art: I think they're just being funny with CHAINLINK, as in, these are chain restaurants, and the individual restaurant is a link in a chain. We had a Sizzlers in Rego Park, Queens, NY when I was a teenager and when I was in my 20s, and I loved that place! I didn't eat a whole lot of steak there, but I loved the smorgasbord, the buffet, choosing from a lot of hot and cold foods. I think I was most fond of the chili and the spaghetti. I miss that old restaurant!
Art, you were fine in Wordle/Strands and will CONTINUE to have your good days in Connections. You have had your share of 10's and be glad for that. Also, it is not uncommon for people having their spurts of doing well and not so well in these games. It is very BAFFLING to see the unusual ones rarely/never failing in these games. Being able to SPECIFICALLY name the blue category in Connections, for example, is quite a stretch. In regards to game difficulty, you could say something like this to clarify/specify things without confusing/upsetting viewers: I PERSONALLY found Connections hard/easy for ME. Making such a comment should stop you from being BANNED when discussing the difficulty of the games. AGAIN, mention SOME of my outstanding tournament players instead of just YOU GUYS will easily be able to solve Connections for that day.

We have (had?) Sizzlers in California, so it was a national chain. A lot of them have closed, though, so I'm not sure if the franchise is still in business.

XENON STALE WHILE BUGLE That was the good part A total blank on Connections. Not done that in a while Strands v difficult if you haven't heard of most of these restos and have no idea what ChainLink is ! Took me a while and had to use a hint half way through.
I ended up with a 5 on Wordle. I used bulge on my 4th instead of bugle. Strands was easy with sizzler jumping out. Connections, I got in reverse order with one mistake. I found blue first but played and figured out purple so I went for reverse order.
Just wanted to share that there's an open and operating Sizzler across the street from where I live. Apparently they only exist in the west coast these days.

Difficult strands as I don't know UK eaterie chains never mind USA ones. Somehow managed to guess them without using a hint.
@auldfouter8661. Exactly the same as you in Strands. I guessed the clue might mean diners. I figured out all of them with no hints, but the only one I'd heard of was Subway. Probably because I've seen them in our towns, but never been inside. From what I've heard, it's not something I'd associate with fine dining. 😊😊😊

Of these diners I think that Outback has the best food. The one I have gone to most often, however, is Sizzler, because it was close by. I have not tried all of them, so this is really a limited evaluation.

I also just said "____City" for Purple, but again I'm taking the full point there. I obviously knew they were real cities, though I hadn't heard of Magic City till now. Apparently it's a nickname for Miami. No time bonus or order though. This one was hard! Strands: Figured out the theme pretty quickly, but Spangram was really tricky! Got it in under 5 minutes, but not three, Still got the Spangram first though.

I was ultimately successful, but I too had a LOT trouble with this one. Similar experience. Struggled, got the categories in similar order, took many hours before I saw the purple cat.
