Paisley was the largest town in Scotland that wasn't a city ( city has different meaning in the UK). It had a large textile sector and became famous for brightly coloured , patterned shawls etc . The design was copied from Indian imported garments but became known as Paisley. I was more familiar with Paisley as the location for Wilsons Auction Mart who handled British Friesian cattle sales in Scotland.
RED DELICIOUS prevented me from getting all my categories and it took me 6 tries to get DOLLY. Strands was a disaster for me because I do not know my patterns.
Wordle in 4 YELLS BULLY DILLY DOLLY (I lucked out on this one!) Connections: Got every category, under 5 minutes, and no mistakes. only thing I didn't get is the order. Strands: Perfect score. Under 3 minutes, no hints, and Spangram first. Saw "Paisley", almost immediately, and got the Spangram within seconds. Took a little over 2 minutes to figure out the words though. Especially "Gingham". I'm only vaugely familiar with that one.
