    Very clear, concise explanation of the mixer and some practical techniques. Top notch presenter

    Thanks for posting. IMO there are more and more DJs and musicians who are wanting to blur the line between DJ and live performer. The same person can be their own support act! 😀

      Not to mention just the ability to take sets to a more production level on the fly set versus just playing records

    I think this video just sold me on a model 1.4. Man have I been looking to upgrade my xone23:c and boy tthis mixer does things I didn’t even think of doing before now. It’s blowing my mind. Anyways, cool review. Edit: Sculpting eq with low and high pass filters is extremely powerful stuff.

    Could you go more in depth with how you connected your CDJ's and TR-808? Which cables, where they go, etc. Thanks!

    I have model 1. I had gone thru 3 units before i decided to keep the current one. All 3 units had exact headphone cue bleeding issues, they claim it is because it being full-analog. I Wonder if this 1.4 also has the same issue.

      they should be using the same components just less

  • @HarryLoveTV

    It looks nice but should have a soundcard/interface built in. I been waiting years for something to supercede my Rane 68 and nothing has done it, this would be a contentder if it had the same dual usb/soundcard capability of the 68 which annoyingly has lost compatibility & the main reason I need an equally capable upgrade

      @MyJoacoo 3 года назад +2

      Thats the exact reason this is 100% analog circuitry, it will never loose compatibility

    How is the build quality? It looks cheap a f from the video footage I have seen...I would have liked a more in depth review

    • @djeclyps
      @djeclyps 3 года назад

      It’s not plastic, very sturdy... only thing rubber is the coating on the knobs, which actually is comfortable for long sets... by no means does it feel cheap.

      I’ve owned two in one year both went back due to paint rubbing off headphone socket fault and both mixers had major faults with filters, when I got the mixer it felt like the best built mixer I’ve ever used but anything built by Allen and Heath regarding dj units sucks I’ve been playing 30 years now pro. I miss the mixer as the sound is amazing but the faders aren’t linear which you would think of when playing house / techno. Also e.a takes time to master. D Subs are great feature.
      Over all this could have been one of the best mixers made shame about built quality.

      @@charles-andrerichard491 the 92 is amazing mixer but the original with the small faults it had lasted for years my mate bought the new version within 3 months had problems and a replacement I had 5 db4 mixers all broke within 3 months and was very badly felt with from A&h the only product I’ve not had problems with is my SQ5 studio mixer. The old xone 62 would last over 20 years and not break there’s a serious problem with A&H build quality I only used my model 1 two to three times a week I had major problems with the eq and even more with the filter trust me I loved A&H for years and would love to own another model 1 but it’s not worth it unless your happy to not have the mixer for over two months when it goes wrong I hope this helps in your decision to buy one

      @@fifthelement9484 Listening to you it is almost as if every mixer you owned broke within 2 months...The SQ 5 is not really what you can call a dj mixer... You really are the first person I hear from that hate kn A&H, that is why I am a little surprised...

    Sweetwater - it would be awesome if you all led the way towards no longer using terms like "Master" and "Slave" in audio. Just because this is how it was referred to previously, doesnt mean we have to keep perpetuating it.
    Blanket response to hypothetical ignorant responses: all words are made up, some have real, ingrained/historically sensitive meanings, and changing to a less awful word set doesnt cost us anything.
