To me this looks like an Aermotor tower, some of them were used in World War II as an Aircraft Warning Service station.🪖It would be so great if you rebuilt this Watchtower in the future, with a small cabin at the top to be at the top of the trees and also be able to spend the night up there and watch the sunsets and sunrises and the birds, that would be a dream.🌳Maybe you could get some restoration fund from the Forest Fire Lookout Association for that project.🌲
hubby and I love your channel.
Was this on your property? How exciting. I would live in one.
If it's allowed, go make it into a giant fort. The possibilities are endless.
Rah devil💪🏽 Solid copy on that outstanding passdown of vital intel on survival and bushcraft. Don’t even waste you time with these freakin turds runnin their holes shittalkin. Probably some freakin never did nothing sittin on their damn couch talkin trash. ML&R brotha🍻💪🏽
Hat's off to all of our vet's past and present. And let's not forget those that lost their life in the fight for freedom. A special thanks to all that served.🇺🇲
Thought you may want to know, Paul Harrell’s Brother Roy gave a Hardcore Hammer Camp Companion Hatchet shout out and recommendation in Paul’s newest video!
Will the Joker and the Thief be joining? All Along the Watch Tower…Corporal Style.
May all the Men & Women who have given thier life defending this once great nation, be forever in the presence of God Almighty. Happy Memorial Day Corporal.
I remember the video of your son ,making his first birdnest fire, and how proud you were when he did it, GREAT VIDEO I learned alot😊
Reminds me of the fire tower on Pine Mountain in Kentucky. My Dad was a forest ranger for 40 years in SEKY. I made a lot of happy memories running up and down those towers while he was working fire season.
I think you are one of the best at showing and explaining the bow drill fire making techniques and process every time I’ve seen you
perfect spot for a HAM radio repeater/antenna and a Starlink antenna powered by solar panel/deepcycle. and a night-sky telescope :) add a winch/pulley system with bucket to hoist things up high
We had an abandoned fire tower near where I grew up. A rite of passage…of sorts…was to climb up to the top without getting caught by the Game and Fish Officers. We always wanted to camp up there, but to my knowledge on one ever did. This video brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks!
Good points about the bow drill. I can truly say that I've never camped under an abandoned fire tower. This was a good use of existing surroundings! Once, I came across an abandoned brick-making place. There was an office (no furnishings). It offered an easy shelter against a surprise ice storm. Inside, I discovered two things. There was electricity available (all I had to do is flip the breaker). And there was a very good electric space heater in the one and only closet. I was able to stay warm and even able to eat up water for coffee and instant oatmeal. I ended up spending two nights and a day at that little structure. I guess it wasn't real "bushcraft" but certainly was survival with style.
I really like this format, nice find on the tower, you do make the best vids on outdoor fundamentals😊
Still the best bowdriller on RUclips. That tower was in bad ass bad shape. But had lots of potential.
If anyone is on the fence about the bottle set that he sells, it’s a great set for someone to have. I used that, and my cold handle skillet on the modern survival course with Shawn, and Jake. It did everything I needed it to.
Really cool video! Love how you find new and unusual places to camp and teach new skills.
yet most still miss
Thank you for this video. Excellent selection of materials. "Use what you can find."
Cool that you found that tower! Be careful.
These are the types of videos that got me subscribed and keep coming back. Excellent work
Wow, what an awesome find! I would love to have a structure like that on my ranch!
Thank you for your service and I sincerely hope you and your family enjoy the weekend.
You keep making them, I'll keep watching them!
That tower is probably older than 30-40 years. Probaby closer to 60 or 70. There was a fire tower near where I grew up that still had the walls and roof on it at the top but was no longer being used back in the early 70's. It wasn't disassembled until sometime near the late 70's.
That would be awesome to find one in my woods 😮
Pretty neat find and setup there Corp. Thank you.
That pile of material looks more like a copperhead Nest to me
From the looks of it, it could be !
It would be around here.
And a scorpion ranch
Those who are afraid of failure, or scoff at those who try something new, never succeed at anything in life. The new platform you are involved with may be greatly successful, or it may fail. But if you don't try, you will have failed without trying. Good luck with the venture, and I look forward to seeing it grow into a great platform. Cheers from Winnipeg.
The last time I climbed a USFS fire watch tower I didn't trust the wooden steps completely. I kept my weight on the sides directly above the step brackets. Wood rots but galvanized steel hangs in there much better. Those towers were pretty flexible like an airplane wing so they were a bit weird to be on because of sway and shake in the wind. I never felt super comfortable with the contant movement, but loved the view from the top.
I worked in a prison in the high desert of Nv. sitting in the tower in a thunder storm while the water in the toilet swayed back and forth from the tower movement was interesting but not somthing I really want to experience again.
Heck yeah, reinforce the structure to give it more load bearing capacity and necessary rigidity, replace all the wood with trex, and build a legit watchtower on top.
Awesome find in the woods. Thank You for your service and enjoy Monday.
got yourself one hell of a deer stand/camp !!
nice...
Another great video, Thank you for your service Corporal
If that watch tower is on your property, I'd reinforce it and fix it up. The structure is good, just needs a little bracing and tightening up. Then replace the rotted wood and make into what you want it to be. I'd build a cabin on the top level once it is beefed up.
My 2 cents setup camp
Cover all wood with tar
At top over hang a snatch block rope a with a pulley system and a drill all wood some steel new bolts
At the top a deck
Teepee fire pit and bbq
Or buy it move it to your land and rebuild it there
Electrical power line towers must be at auctions . . . Awesome idea when shtf and you have to rebuild a new home hidden
Happy Memorial Day Brother
Great video sir, have a safe and productive week. Catch your next video drop
Awesome as always! You are very skilled at starting fires! I have learned much from watching your videos! Well done.
Thanks for the BOW DRILL SET UP and Example.
Nice find. Watch tower in the woods. Great video. Love the shelter configuration. Poncho always comes through. You make the bow drill look easy. Looking forward to things to come.
You should definitely restore that tower!
Thanks CPL👍
Have you ever heard anything in the middle of the night that's scared you ?
Donkey Kong overnighter!
Cracks me up how many of the Bushcrafters are now going back to basics... I will keep watching you as you show things of interest.
Very cool
Really enjoy my ENO Double Nest. It's deep just like your XL and helps to keep out the wind. I really appreciate the tip with the water bottle. I will put that in my bag of knowledge. As I move closer to Grizz country my only concern with hammock camping
is trying not to become a human bait bag for a Mr. Grizz or a punching bag for a bull moose, or elk. Looking forward to the new platform, I checked it out and researched some of the instructors on RUclips. There is a good mix of survival knowledge to be had. Thank you for sharing your skills.
Thanks!
Thank you Corporal. It is always a pleasure to watch one of your videos ❤️🙏🇺🇸🫡
You’re doing everything right. Thank you

Welcome to hotel Corporals Corner. Would you like a room with a view? Great little video sir. Hope the hammock treated you well.
That decking doesn't rot out, great to bring home and build a deck etc. Big $$ to purchase new. Looks like a beautiful spot you picked..
Always love these videos!
Someone had been hunting from that thing.
Thank you for the video!
Have a good day.
See you midweek.
Excellent video. That may have been an old Forestry FireWatch Tower back in the day. I spent a weekend in one many years ago. Everything was hauled up in a bucket with a pulley system. Toilet was a bucket in a corner of the top cabin. Food was cooked on a Coleman white gas two burner. Communication was an old crank phone with HQ. Good memories. A weekend was long enough. Liked the hammock, off the ground and dry and warm.
Always enjoy your videos! You do it right 👍
