Backpacking Colorado's San Juan Mountains: Vallecito Basin and Columbine Pass

This is a 3 day backpacking trip in Colorado's Weminunche Wilderness in the San Juan Mountains. Starting at the Vallecito trailhead, I explore Vallecito Basin and Columbine Pass with beautiful fall colors. Originally planned to be longer, I cut the trip short due to wildfire smoke.

Thanks for the video. Beautiful area. A buddy and a I did the Elk Creek to Needleton loop a few years ago. I recall the trip to Columbine Pass via Johnson Creek being a heck of a hike. But so worth it at the pass. Your video scratches my itch to get back out there.
