  • This is a 5 day backpacking trip in the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park. Starting from the North Point trailhead, I visit the Maze Overlook, Harvest Scene (twice), Pictograph Fork, Jasper Ridge, Shot and Water Canyons. It's a beautiful area...check it out!

Hey mate, awesome video. Planning for a Maze trip in 2025. Hiked in the Needles district 10 years ago and it was one of the best trips of my life. Thanks from the UK 🇬🇧

The Maze is awesome! I highly recommend a vehicle with all wheel drive and high clearance to get to any trailhead...the roads are very rough.

In october 1987, three friends and myself hiked from the standing rocks down to the harvest scene. On another trip I took my dad down the flint trail to the standing rocks. Another time I parked at top of flint trail and rode my motorcycle down it and out past the maze overlook, to meet up with friends who were riding mountain bikes to queen anne bottom on the green river. There's a chimney and hearth still standing at the site of the Butch Cassidy outlaw hideout cabin about 2-3 miles north of Hans Flat. I heard or read that the cabin burned down close to a hundred years ago.

I've been down the Flint Trail and out to the Doll House area, next I'd like to do part of your route to backpack somewhere in the area of the Harvest Scene.

George, Asa devotee of this area I must thank you for a beautiful video. Thank you for treating this area with the respect it deserves. Your video was gorgeous and we especially koved the silence. Letting the imigaes tell the story is what this sacred place is all about. Well done. Slainte'
