    I just made the kousa recipe with plant meat-OUTSTANDING!! Highly recommend trying it! next I'll try the planet based Kousa with the cauliflower rice.

    My mom used to make a kind of an omelet with the inside of the small zucchinis, spiced just right it was the best breakfast that I ever had. Kousa in tomato sauce and sometimes in a milk (or yogurt?) sauce was always a treat. she usually made stuffed grape leaves with the tomato based kousa. I have never been able to find Kousa and warra dawale as good as moms in any Middle Eastern restaurant anywhere. Thanks mom.

    You two made me go get grape leaves and it's a perfect time since I have my daughter and friend over for the next couple days. Weez gonna make werek tomorrow. Yes I'm getting up early in the morning to go get all the ingredients. I'm going to have to buy some oxtails because that's what I will use to steam them with. One of our traditional dishes in my family. You all were great!

    Looks nice and delicious but you forgot something very important, when filled and dropped in the pot you need to cover the zucchini with a dish on top to keep them in place or you'll have a Tuttifrutti Kousa 🤪😁

    As a vegetarian, I make kusa using Impossible Burger or Beyond Beef. It is delicious and tastes the same as with the beef. The spices I use are gound cumin, allspice, and cinnamon in addition to salt and pepper. And no cow or lamb has to die for me!

    I'm 50% Lebanese (from my mother) and lived in Lebanon for 5 years. I'll be making your recipe soon once I receive the electric squash corer I just ordered. I have the manual one but it's a pain. I didn't know they had electric ones until I watched your video.

    Great video! You two were fun to watch! I’m just starting to make Kousa. My grandmother and mom didn’t pass their recipes to us kids. My stumbling block is coring out the squash! Frustrating. My apple corer was too wide.

      Sure thing! You can freeze it before you stuff it, after you stuff it without cooking or after the whole dish is cooked

    i never like kousa, i prefer the fil fil ahmar... i didnt know the lebanese way is with tomato, i love the tomato recipe like the egyptian way, palestinians dont put tomato

      Also I would not want this meal with cauliflower. I like to taste the flavors that bring back my ancestors. I love to eat foot that taste like my good memories. Lol if that makes any since. I eat this food when I am missing my jiddu and my family. I don’t enjoy “healthy” variations. That is my two cents! But thank you both for the video!
