I remember when I've listened to this album for the first time. I guess that they were such an inspiration for some rock bands, especially Indie or Alternative Rock bands. I think so..
It's impossible to pick a favourite New order track. Sometimes it's Your Silent Face, then I hear Leave me Alone. Sometimes it's This Time of Night then I hear Sunrise. Sometimes it's Dream Attack then I hear Mr Disco. Every single album has at least two tracks I couldn't be without. Technique has five or six.
Love it when Gillian plays rhythm. Stout track. How they produced Technique is a hell of a good story and a minor miracle given all the gear floating about at the time.
There are certain moments that get etched into your brain - being at this show left numerous etchings on my brain and soul - just can’t help but moving like I did that night
I was there at this very concert in Mountain View - Public Image Ltd and SugarCubes opened up - SugarCubes was awesome as hell but New Order really jammed out on this one - notice they are playing melodies not on the album - this was the best concert I ever been to....
No one else sounds like New Order, and that is the FOUR of them. Accept no substitutes! Gillian is great on guitar. I love it when she steps out from the background. They are all great! New Order, in their prime. Sugarcubes. And Public Image Limited! Sounds absolutely awesome. Where is Mountain View? Is it the place where REM played a low key, acoustic set, when Out Of Time was released, in the States?
I'm about to play my two favorite songs back to back...first this. This song, DREAM ATTACK, is triumphantly sad or lugubriously joyous...whereupon I shall next play something EQUALLY JUBILANT...
A very good live version of this masterpiece. It has struck me that, when they hit the ball live (which they certainly did not always do), their best songs are even better live than the best studio versions. Even some of the more, well, average songs sometimes find a new life when played live (e.g. Denial at Taras Shevchenko). Somehow, this serves as proof as to how good they really where, and that, in spite of the impressive catalogue, they actually might be underperformers - without such large doses of drugs, alcohol, conflicts and general silliness, they could have been even better.
I've loved New Order since I've loved music. Technique is up there as one of my favourite albums of all time, there is something about Dream Attack that just picks me up when I'm down. Each band member makes such a different contribution, maybe down to being written in Ibiza but it makes me think of happy sunny days losing myself somewhere on a beach, somewhere warm and sunny beside 'crystal' waters.. Keep it coming....
Manoel, eu não acredito que eles tenham uma disco ou música predileta. Penso que cada música que nós escutamos deles, marcou nossas vidas, nosso momento de acordo.
awesome yes thank you so much please post more if you can, love it all! true faith, PK round & round, mr disco, if you have would love it so much thank you so much for sharing !!!!! cheers! x
I was not every keen on technique, when it came out. I thought it was just alright. Now, I think it is good of any other of their albums. A classic. They are all equally good. And, all different. It is hard to choose one over another, as better. I love new order. Have done since the eighties. Always will. Anyone who says that joy division were better, or that they like jd, but not no, in my view, is an idiot. 😍
Makes me happy and sad manic depressive remembering my lst and lost love the Hermosa Angelica it made me want to create this rhyme I miss the light out of your eyes I miss the lows and highs I've days gone by how you still sent my heart a blaze I think of you forever and always as I'm haunted by the 3 syllables in your name that take my breath away like roses on the 5th of may oh Angela I miss you so forever deep in my heart and soul true and sincere like poetry of Shakespeare I wish you now we're here❤😢😅
I think that Technique's dance tracks have not aged nearly as well as the non-dance tracks, i.e. All The Way, Love Less, Run and Dream Attack. Those were always my favorites!
Bernard's answer in interviews in the 90s was the record was Air That You Breathe by Bomb The Bass even though it of course came out after Technique... so it appears any guess involving a record that came out prior to 1989 can be considered correct ;)
In my opinion, "Technique" is one of the best New Order's album that I had ever listened in my whole life with amazing soundtracks..!
I remember when I've listened to this album for the first time. I guess that they were such an inspiration for some rock bands, especially Indie or Alternative Rock bands. I think so..
Vavo Barbosa It might be my favorite new order album too. But all of their first 5 albums were good.
Vavo Barbosa ,yeah for me too.
I agree but in my opinion age of consent is right up there
@@mpreiss7780 age of consent isn't an album
Stephen Morris is ace. He has the precision of a drum machine with a human touch.
Very very true but as we all learned in the TBTHOG video, there is only one “Ace” in N.O.! 😂
One of the most beautiful New Order songs. I think Gillian’s guitar sounds amazing on this one 🙂
yes
Who can't sing dream order division
True.

There are many great songs by New Order, but I think this is their best song.
Gillian killing it on lead guitar
She’s so underrated
Is she not keyboard?
@@carolholmes4078 - Not on this one. 🙂
Can we just appreciate how the whole band works so well together despite some rocky relationships? Everyone did an awesome job
Barney looks quite hot with his fade!!
One of the greatest song of all times, pure poetry
New Order at their absolute peak at this time. My favourite band ever
Love it when Gillian plays rhythm. Stout track. How they produced Technique is a hell of a good story and a minor miracle given all the gear floating about at the time.
My favorite song from the Technique album
Jason Unsell mine too, everything fits perfectly
Can barely hear the bass on the album version which sucks
every 'TECHNIQUE' track was brilliant. sublime string sections.
Live version is very much better than original album! Magnificent!
Bernard makes for a fantastic lead vocalist.
This song is brilliant, much underrated, love the lyrics
I keep coming back to this. It’s truly a great performance. I like it even better than the album version.
Oh Bernard you'll always be my # one crush!
can we start a Bernardoholics Anonymous support group or something?
I'm up for that. Women deserve to be vocal too. He was gorgeous 🥰
I love New Order.Always will. But I miss Hooky's physical presence in the band.
I didn't knew that Chuck Norris played bass in New Order, this is amazing!
There are certain moments that get etched into your brain - being at this show left numerous etchings on my brain and soul - just can’t help but moving like I did that night
I would kill just to go back in time and see this era, to see them live and England in the 80’s.

I saw them in Houston TX for the 89 tour and I still have the same feeling - just magical
amazing so jealous.

Beautiful and nostalgic how New Order ever was...
superb performance all round. Ace song, great album.
Damn..I was at this show!
This song is super! Nice live version too, sound more agressive,, industrial.
Good performance truly great!
Wow. His voice sounds in tune sir him.
New Order at their very very finest moment. This is sooooo brilliant, and the 2nd side aint short of killa
One of my fave NO songs.. Love this.
This song is a reunion of all graces of New Order
この曲が大好きだ😘
何故かマンチェとかのミュージシャンの曲に心惹かれて40年

Acho o melhor album do New order sem dúvida . 1989.

Hooky is channeling dave grohl and im here for it!!!

Love this. New Order at its best.
"Vanishing Point" then this was and is a righteous way to end a perfect album.

Amazing quality!
Literal perfection.
Very good! Although audio is unmistakably from the Jazz Montreux Festival 1993
