My understanding is that Mercedes has discontinued the Premium Plus variant in the UK so none of those top features (Burmester sound system, head-up display, 21inch wheels, adjustable suspension etc.) are actually available to us here.
@@TotallyEV Just had a look online - there is no Premium Plus currently offered on MB's website in the UK. Premium is the highest spec, but no Premium Plus.
@@TotallyEV this is because Mercedes cannot get the components, so their website doesn’t show models that cannot be made. Pity other makes don’t follow this lead.
Drove different EV's, Q4 and Enyaq the ID4&5 I choose not too because the interior is awful. I doubted between the Merc EQA 300 and the Q4, the Enyaq IV80 Sportline was disappointing to drive although it looked very good. I've ordered the Merc EQA 300 Luxury Line mainly because of the premium feel of the interior and the MBUX infotainment system. Yes it has less range and a smaller booth but at the end I still loved this one the most!
It's just question what you want or need. The EQA has enough power for driving pleasure. If you need more, then take on of the Tesla performance models. The EQA is for me the best "package" for my needs. Just to say, I have an BMX X3 M40i which I will trade in. EQA is 350 ordered. ;-)
I’m deciding between this and the q4 e tron. I’m tilting more to the q4 … 520L boot space on the q4 where’s the merc got 320L. Plus the alloys on that base model awful.
The Q4 is a good'un, but it's worth considering a few of the others mentioned (and linked in the description), such as the Volvo, Hyundai or VW among others!
@@TotallyEV I looked at the Hyundai… just doesn’t strike me looking at it.. been to love a car inside and out to spend that money on one. The mega and the Audi stand out to me… q4 just that bit more practical due to boot space. I already done a spec and ready order 👀😂 just looking into the polestar see what that offers. But most likely order the q4.
If you compare the EQA 350 4Matic, which is the most powerful of the EQA line (and yet still nowhere near the performance of the XC40), it costs the same as the Volvo; while the EQA 250 on review is £5K less; not sure where £10K+ is coming from.
@@TotallyEV Google integration? Well, I also tested both, the XC40 as well as the EQA250. The infotainment and the integration of all digital components/services are really very poor in the Volvo. No comparison to the Mercedes. Besides, what I dislike most is the way the recuperation works in the Volvo. No way to adjust it to your preferences. A kind of cumbersome. Furthermore, based on my calculations considering the higher power consumption on average, the Volvo does not have a longer range. I decided against the XC40.
@@erics.1149 there's an on/off toggle in the Volvo, but indeed not as much customisation. As for the power consumption etc, you're welcome to your own opinion, but we go based on real-world tests. Not facts, spec sheets or manufacturer claims :)

Just ordered the EQA hatchback 250AMG Line! Can’t wait to drive it!
Enjoy!
Just curious on the lead times. Did you get your EQA delivered already?
Is this 2024? Is 21 plate and this video was uploaded 2 years ago!
Still a relevant review to the car that's being tested! Chill out.
This car is like a dream come true! ❤ It has class and of course the best or nothing. We the family have owned both the GLA 4x4 and EQA. Problem free.
Sure, but what about driving comfort? Lol.

Superb review! Fresh, simple and informative. Happy to find this channel!
Glad you liked the video and thanks for the kind words!
I love the interior and ambiance in this car! Speed to 100 Km is slow against otter EV but when you put the car in sports mode it goes fast!
Glad you're enjoying it.

Hello thank you very much for the video, would you be able to do a review of the EQA 350 please
Pleasure glad you liked the review. As for the request, it's not something we'd do - sorry
Would be interested in your review of the new 250+ model
That's unlikely to happen, as since this review, Mercedes hasn't even come back to us on emails (looks like they don't like honest reviews lol)

Out of interest, why didn't you opt for any of its alternatives, such as the Volvo?

nice car..
ev batteries are heavy. You cannot get a nice suspension in an EV
Of course you can, there are many that are incredibly comfortable (even more so than ICE models). Just that not every manufacturer does it right.
Thanks for your review. Not a very impressive effort from Mercedes.
