When I make octopus I usually add shrimp and crab meat along with the olives, tomatoes onions, and to top it off I’ll eat the salad with my favorite root malanga , just thinking about it makes me hungry ☺️🙃😀 and yes I’m going to make your recipe .
Ay Dios mio pero me encanta el pulpo! And you got a whole one....wow! Beautifully executed and presented recipe, Kelvin. Please, please send two plateloads this way. My wife and I would love it! Thanks for sharing.
Octopus salad can be served both cold and at room temperature, depending on personal preference and cultural norms. Here are some considerations for each option: 1. Cold Octopus Salad: Cold octopus salad is a popular choice, especially in warm weather or during the summer months. Chilling the salad enhances its refreshing qualities, making it a delightful and light dish. The cold temperature can also help preserve the flavors and texture of the ingredients. 2. Room Temperature Octopus Salad: Allowing the octopus salad to come to room temperature before serving can provide a slightly different dining experience. At room temperature, the flavors may be more pronounced, and some people might prefer the softened texture of the ingredients. Ultimately, the decision of whether to eat octopus salad cold or at room temperature depends on your personal taste and the occasion. Both options can be delicious, so feel free to choose the one that suits your preferences and the dining environment best. I personally like it cold out of the fridge.
Hi ! If I were to use frozen precooked octopus would the steps be any different? Do I thaw it and then add to the salad mixture? This would be my first time making this so I just want to make sure I’m doing this correctly. Thanks !
The process of dipping octopus tentacles in boiling water before cooking is known as blanching. Blanching helps to tenderize the octopus and remove any impurities or unwanted flavors. It also helps to set the vibrant color of the octopus. By briefly boiling the tentacles, you can achieve a more tender and flavorful end result when cooking the octopus.

Hi... do you also cut the head of the octopus 🐙? Once cooked can you consume all parts of the octopus? 😊

Forgive me you got the pimentos in the olives
You forgot the tostadas
