Idk man he's literally 74 lol. Plus he had a brain tumor removed years ago and is likely still on steroid meds for life... most singers his age sound much worse even without major health issues like lou battled.
It says a lot about how great he's singing here that you think he's tricking you by lip synching to a pre-recorded track. Lou Gramm does not lip sync. Even when his health was suffering and his voice was not his best, he sang live. The audio is not synchronized with the video, that's all.
