No one sings this like Steve Perry ..
Just thought that
Steve Perry has one of the best voices ever!! I love his voice!! Journey is NOT Journey without Steve Perry!! Just my opinion!! 💖💖💖
@@joangentile2731 Joan, that is almost a given however, I give Arnel Pineda some slack, while his style deviates his voice is remarkable, and Deen Castronove had a fantastic Journey voice himself. But there is, indeed only one Steve Perry
FYI ARNEL PINEDA IS BETTER NG PERRY
@@bongbhart6316 Arnel Pineda is a fabulous singer, a great person and a pride for the Philippines ( I am married to Filipina) , but please accept that Steve Perry is a legend that is par to none
Steve is stellar! He’s so gracious and kind to this young lady and in his prime there was nobody that could match him.
Thank you, Mr. Perry, (Stevie) for your dedication for turning out great performances, connecting with your audience and singing so soulfully. Anyone can sing a song but Stevie never was just singing he was caressing you with his words.
She was awful and sounded so flat

I can’t say I like her voice, or this version (I stopped watching around 2009) but I love the Steve was there to personally put a stamp on it. What an honor for any singer.
Yeah I agree her voice is to rednecky country for sure not the song for her.steve rules with the golden voice
Her voice is just one in a million and nothing special
She sang this song last summer opening for Jason Aldean and it was absolute wreck 🥴 not a single person in the crowd would even sing this song with her. She has zero stage presence. It was horrifying watching her botch this classic.
I met Steve Perry backstage when that song was on the charts. He was one of the nicest rockstars I have ever met. He seemed really surprised at the almost "we aren't worthy," crowd trying to be really close to him.
Steve is too kind with his words...
love you STEVE .... you're the best
from Philippines
Salamat!
Absolutely amazing..love him too..glad that there is also filipino like me who loves him.
@@lancenuque8126 we can't deny that steve is an iconic here also....yes we have arnel but just like what arnel said
- You'll appreciate Adam Lambert for singing but Freddie Mercury is the best LEGENDARY
Steve will always Number 1
@@sajapastor768 yup i agree! Steve is number 1 for me..i listen to all his music everyday..he's actually my bread and butter😄
@@sajapastor768 Agreed except Adam Lambert doesn't try to be Freddie Mercury. He also has the vocal chops for Queen songs. He'd likely do a serious service to any Journey songs should he ever choose to cover them. There was a reason Queen picked him. Basically bcs he can do their stuff justice.
She was out of her league here. I'm sure she's good, but very few people have the vocal skills to cover Perry.
man, I really idolized Steve Perry for cheering his fan. Very humble
I remember being 13 years old and my mother wouldn't let me go see Journey in 82. Damn her! My sister was older and got to go with her friends. Great albums. Timeless music that can never be replicated.
If only he could still sing it the way he used to. Who wouldn't empty the bank account for a ticket to see the original Journey lineup?
If I could turn back time…..
@@tammylewis9324 If we could've stopped time in the 80's knowing what we know now...
We all age no matter how rich or famous a person is
The original Journey lineup didn't have Steve in it.
@@robertthode2151 True. But, Pre-Steve Perry Journey was nothing to speak of, as well as post-Steve Perry Journey (in terms of new material). The best Journey material that is played today is still from Departure, Escape, Frontiers, and Raised On Radio.
I'm 53 and Journey was my first concert at 14...no one like Steve Perry.
Lucky lady to meet Steve Perry .❤❤❤❤
Steve Perry.....we were blessed to have you in our lives!
Love Steve Perry ❤️
God bless Steve Perry
Steve Perry and Lionel Richie aren't strangers, they sang together on We Are The World in 1985. Glad to see Steve, Started being a fan of his music in 1978.
If I had a chance to meet only one famous person ever in my life it would have to be Steve Perry 🥰
It couldn't hold a candle to Steve perry but Steve was very humble and generous in his comment to her.
He can't sing it today though, that's why he's not in Journey. He can't sing any of the old stuff. He doesn't have the range anymore.
@@RyanConnell5150 he does he just made the decision that he won't sing with journey or any of the bands songs.
Steve Perry is the best singer ever .. ✌🏻
Bless you Steve Perry. And you're still cute AF!!!!
@Steve22Perry Dude, you've got 51 comments on this channel and they're all copy and paste identical. If you're gonna scam people at least put a bit of effort into it.
Steve Perry is a Living Legend and a Genuine Good Guy.
NO one is saying that this guy IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE GREATEST POP ROCK VOICES OF ALL TIME !!
Steve Perry is the American Idol of all time 😊😊😊
I am obsessed with Steve Perry. If I met him, I would faint.
Steve Perry is just a good person. He was very kind to her.
The AI house band and whoever does the arrangements are the real talent of this show. Those guys slay everything.
Yeah real good at copying other people’s work.
@@thefonzkiss You jumped a shark pen on water skis. That was lame.
I believe that she's definitely gonna remember that 🤗 hug from STEVE PERRY for the rest of her life ♥
Good . . . 'Cuz she won't win Idol that's for sure
Many years ago and still, Journey and Steve moves my soul.... There is no music like that in these days anymore.... So sad
Kind regards from México
Wow is Steve Perry YESSSSSSS
