🤚🏽 hey, renter here, sorry you two had to experience that terrible tenant it really sucks because not all renters are like that. personally, I take care of my landlord's house and land as best as I can as if it was my own, I let him know when the house needs fixing and he is always prompt with sending a handy person. I make it a point to clean almost every day and keep it smelling fabulous. Thankfully my landlord is chill as hell and I would be so thankful if you guys were my landlord. (My credit score just bearly got my approved to.)
Terro liquid ant killer is the BEST for killing ants and it’s inexpensive. You can buy it pretty much anywhere. When you put the liquid on small pieces of cardboard in the any trails, the ants literally migrate to the liquid and take it back to the ant nest. Within 24-48 hours they are gone. You may have to add more liquid one time, but it legit took out a bad ant problem I had when I moved into a new place.
Well if it isn’t such a big world after all, pretty crazy that your videos were the only way this lady found out where her step son was. Her mission to warn the new homeowner of the upcoming turmoil they’re about to encounter is Amazing. 100% agree with that move and respect the hell out of that woman for that!

My sister in law and her husband rented out the custom suite in their walk out basement that was originally the Mother in Law Suite. They are long distance truckers, the people they rented to were from their church - What they came home to one trip was 100% times worse than what your before pics showed, I kid you not! They thought they were keeping their home safe while they were working, but that wasn't the case - it was devastating and disgusting beyond belief. Glad you got it all cleaned up and hope it sells quickly for you. I live in a duplex and just spent three years with the absolute worst family ever as my neighbors! I even had to call the cops on them, to no avail. When they left, the landlord had to pull up the carpets and underlay, and then the subfloor because it was so badly saturated and stained. THREE great big body sized holes right through the drywall in a bedroom, the living room and a hallway. That couple had three kids that were obese, unkempt and prone to violence. Made me wish I could afford to buy something so I never have to be this close to another family again!
Wow the before and after is insane! You guys did a great job with getting it back together. You know he is a bad person when his family tells yall. There has to be a blacklisted database for tenants that does this so home owners can reject immediately

I’m a little late but if you’re talking about roaches BORIC ACID POWDER works amazingly. Place it around the baseboards and in cabinets. It’ll kill roaches or pretty much any bugs. Lavender is also great and dry basil. Put the stuff all around the home and clean it after everything settles and dies.

It's hard to sell anywhere with an HOA these days. Im noticing a lot of buyers refusing to even look at homes under an HOA here in Oklahoma. I will say larger companies that specifically buy places just to rent dont care, so itll sell one way or another. It's hard to sell a mortgage, plus a large HOA fee like one that's $400 a month. It's a townhouse, though. People buying those might be prepared for that.
For next time which I hope there never will be one! You can clean toilets with a pumice stone but make sure it’s soaked before scrubbing and you can only use it on porcelain! You can also use it on a glass stove top and the inside of an oven , again make sure it’s very wet. Do not use on fiberglass tubs/showers because it will scratch. I cleaned houses for 9 yrs. I’m so sorry but so glad you’re getting to the end of this hellish nightmare!

This is horrifying I'm so sorry this happened to you guys. And that a special needs child had to live in this . Me and my wife watched these videos and we feel your pain and frustration 100%. My wife got really emotional after seeing your wife on the stairs breaking down because we actually went through something similar. We married 9 years ago, and had a new double wide built right after our wedding. We raise our two boys there, and a year ago my grandmother passed away and we were left her house in the will. We were going to put our house on the market but had a friend from high school ask if him and his family could rent it. After much thought me and my wife decided to let them rent it because they were going through a hard time. My grandmother's house was out of state so we had moved out of state but we're still getting mailed the rent payment. Well then one month came when he said that he had lost his job and was trying to find another one and asked if he could have a little longer to come up with the rent. And this being someone I knew from high school I decided yes I would let them help them out in a hard time and told him that was fine. Well then another month came and he had the same story that he was still trying to find work, i allowed him to stay longer. Third month rolled around and I tried to contact him only to find out the number has been disconnected. Called some neighbors that live near the house and they informed me they had not seen them there in weeks. So the following weekend me and my wife decided to drive to our old house to check on it. Only to find out that our locks have been changed. So we had to contact the police and a locksmith to gain entry into our home. And when we finally got the door open what we saw was horrific, the smell literally made the cop gag from disgust, but it wasnt over and i found one of the most horrific things ive ever seen. These lowlife left their dog behind and had him tied to a tree outside and she was almost starved to death, she couldn't even stand up and rushed her to the emergency vet thinking she was gonna die but i wanted to give her a chance, i don't understand how people could do that to somebody else's stuff it makes me sick we had to replace all the carpet repaint the whole house fix multiple holes in the walls clean out two dumpsters full of ruined furniture they had left behind. 4 dumpsters full of trash was removed from the house, and over 8000 dollars worth of repairs had to be done to make the house liveable again. And this being someone I knew and tried to help I completely understand you man when you say it's hard to be a nice person and someone does this to you. Thankfully the house sold after the repairs and I'm hoping for a fast sale for you guys to. Noone deserves to have there kindness thrown back in their face with something like this. We actually did decide to take him to court over this so that's still a pending process. But i got a call from the police department there informing me he had been arrested for felony animal abuse. Its still a miracle that the dog was even still alive. Update though we kept in very close contact with the vet who nursed her back to life and we decided to adopt her after she got healthy and we made the decision to name her Miracle just from being able to survive that long without food.
I feel y'all. We bought a house and turned into a home with a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Deciding to move closer to be near my mother in love and rent our house out was the worst decision ever. Our tenants moved in and that was it. They never paid a dime, racked up a nearly $13k water bill, $11k electric bill and because the house was ours we inherited the utilities (even though it was in their name they put a lien on my house) as well as the sewer bill. We couldn't afford the mortgage payment for that house and the rent for the farm we were renting in anticipation of buying. Our house went into foreclosure and eventually was auctioned off on the courthouse steps. The new owners five years fighting in the courts to get this lady finally thrown out by the sheriff. In Washington state squatters have more rights than landowners. We literally lost everything. We have another ten months on our chapter 13 bankruptcy (I feel better paying some of it back, then just washing it away. Some of these deaths were legitimately ours, but because of this, we just couldn't pay any of it and make a dent in the debts. This was a hard lesson and really puts a bad wrap on helping those in need. I was on section 8 when I had my first child 30 years ago. I used it as a steppingstone like it's meant for. To get on my feet and be able to support my child as a single parent. We also moved to NW Arkansas two years ago- best choice ever❤

Stephen, we live in Michigan and we owned a condo on a golf course and our Hoa was 450$ a month. We ended up selling after long debates about renting it out. So glad we didn’t rent it out. Honestly surprised that the HOA didn’t evict them sooner with all t he damage they were doing to the property and others property.
Well done guys….. you have gone above and beyond sorting out your home for the next buyer. Some people come into our lives that’s either a lesson or blessing and it’s how we respond to that, that makes us better people ❤

If you sue them & they have nothing then he needs to sit it out in jail a long time & realize the consequences of what he did. Abandoning animals can get him time , one girl in this neighborhood almost got arrested for not feeding her dog…they are coming down on people not caring for the animals because that’s what they will do with their children too
Terro ant baits work extremely well however if you don't have experience with the stuff, the ants eat the liquid and there will be many of them at once. Don't kill them, let them feed and take the terro back to the colony. Within days they will/ should all die. It's a natural substance so not harmful to pets etc. Good luck sweet family ❤

Bar Keepers Friend is your best, friend. If you have stains still in bathroom/kitchen/tiles/anything steel, get the powder make a paste & let it sit a bit before you scrub it down. Like new 🎉Y’all are doing great, don’t stress too much 🤍✨

My HOA (townhouse) fee is $160/month and $550 every January which is crazy low. That covers all outside maintenance costs (landscaping, painting, driveways, pool, roadway) amongst other things. In Tampa the average I’ve seen is $400-500/month & $1k-$2k once per year. But I have seen HOA fees as high as $2k/month. Depends where you live, what HOA covers, the property (is it on a golf course, on the water, etc). $400/month is not the worst.
The home is just beautiful and you guys have done an amazing job your super hard work and sweat has shown just how you all look after a home. Really sorry that this is what you have had to put up with. It’s outrageous how people can leave such a home. It just shows what type of people these are by leaving cats and kittens 🥺 I sincerely hope that the kid of there’s is in good health & care 🙏
I am so sorry y'all were put through this! My parents went through this so much when they owned some properties years ago & they finally sold them because it was just too much trouble for them. And that was 30 yrs. ago & it's obviously gotten worse. Hopefully y'all can get this sold & move on & focus on this precious 3rd baby coming soon!!
PS... we are currently renting and I would NEVER do this. We have made many improvements for our landlord (with permission of course). We share 5 acres and have a lot of livestock. I also have a really really bad asthma so they allowed me to pull all the carpets out repair the flooring and lay laminate flooring down. We fixed their deck. I put in a bunch of flowerbeds and redid some landscaping. I built a huge garden out back, we dug a pond on this end of the property. When we do move- I will not only clean but will repaint and prepare this for immediate rerental. I have never left a rental dirty. I always make sure it's cleaner than when I got it.

RUclips sensors me all the time they won't let me say what I really want to say but I think it's horrifying that people live like this in this country that's horrifying I'd be the first one calling them into DCFS!!! My parents did this for a while it was awful I don't know how many times they had to go there because of some problem with their renters... The last straw was The Last renters basically stole everything😂 destroyed everything!! My parents sued the association it was a nightmare they couldn't wait to get rid of that property it drove them crazy.

Oh I forgot to say, you can easily fix that hole in the door. I used to get wood filler, fill in the hole try make it as level as possible, wait for it to dry, sand it down and paint over it. I know it's not a perfect fix but it works. I was constantly fixing crap he broke, having to apologise and pay for his mistakes. Never again 😂 ladies whenever you can get away, run, run as fast as you can. Life is much more peaceful alone ❤
Ooh i didnt care for the government assistance comment. Im on assistance because my fiance suffered a brain injury during a home invasion which prevented him from working and i did 24 hour care in 2021. He recovered and work began again. In 2022 he was dignosed with end stage testicular cancer that spread to his lymph nodes and started intensive chemo. Again off work for both of us and we lost our 3 bedroom house and moved into a one bedroom apt. Im sure no one really cares to hear this story lol but i felt compelled to say not everyone on assistance is a dirty person. Some, like us, had no choice but to ask for help because we didnt want to go without food and shelter.
I’m not sure how people can do this…. I’m a renter and I just had my apartment inspection to renew my lease for another year and I passed. She told me she wished others apartments were as clean and neat as mine.
I’d be crying too sweet mama! It’s a life lesson, we all have to get them. Some people suck and are toxic. We put ourselves out there with the best intentions and get burned. We just wake up everyday and thank God we aren’t like them. 💯

I didn’t like the bait trays. The liquid that you physically pour on cardboard works wonders.

My wife got really emotional after seeing your wife on the stairs breaking down because we actually went through something similar. We married 9 years ago, and had a new double wide built right after our wedding. We raise our two boys there, and a year ago my grandmother passed away and we were left her house in the will. We were going to put our house on the market but had a friend from high school ask if him and his family could rent it. After much thought me and my wife decided to let them rent it because they were going through a hard time. My grandmother's house was out of state so we had moved out of state but we're still getting mailed the rent payment. Well then one month came when he said that he had lost his job and was trying to find another one and asked if he could have a little longer to come up with the rent. And this being someone I knew from high school I decided yes I would let them help them out in a hard time and told him that was fine. Well then another month came and he had the same story that he was still trying to find work, i allowed him to stay longer. Third month rolled around and I tried to contact him only to find out the number has been disconnected. Called some neighbors that live near the house and they informed me they had not seen them there in weeks. So the following weekend me and my wife decided to drive to our old house to check on it. Only to find out that our locks have been changed. So we had to contact the police and a locksmith to gain entry into our home. And when we finally got the door open what we saw was horrific, the smell literally made the cop gag from disgust, but it wasnt over and i found one of the most horrific things ive ever seen. These lowlife left their dog behind and had him tied to a tree outside and she was almost starved to death, she couldn't even stand up and rushed her to the emergency vet thinking she was gonna die but i wanted to give her a chance, i don't understand how people could do that to somebody else's stuff it makes me sick we had to replace all the carpet repaint the whole house fix multiple holes in the walls clean out two dumpsters full of ruined furniture they had left behind. 4 dumpsters full of trash was removed from the house, and over 8000 dollars worth of repairs had to be done to make the house liveable again. And this being someone I knew and tried to help I completely understand you man when you say it's hard to be a nice person and someone does this to you. Thankfully the house sold after the repairs and I'm hoping for a fast sale for you guys to. Noone deserves to have there kindness thrown back in their face with something like this. We actually did decide to take him to court over this so that's still a pending process. But i got a call from the police department there informing me he had been arrested for felony animal abuse. Its still a miracle that the dog was even still alive. Update though we kept in very close contact with the vet who nursed her back to life and we decided to adopt her after she got healthy and we made the decision to name her Miracle just from being able to survive that long without food.
I feel y'all. We bought a house and turned into a home with a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Deciding to move closer to be near my mother in love and rent our house out was the worst decision ever. Our tenants moved in and that was it. They never paid a dime, racked up a nearly $13k water bill, $11k electric bill and because the house was ours we inherited the utilities (even though it was in their name they put a lien on my house) as well as the sewer bill. We couldn't afford the mortgage payment for that house and the rent for the farm we were renting in anticipation of buying. Our house went into foreclosure and eventually was auctioned off on the courthouse steps. The new owners five years fighting in the courts to get this lady finally thrown out by the sheriff. In Washington state squatters have more rights than landowners. We literally lost everything. We have another ten months on our chapter 13 bankruptcy (I feel better paying some of it back, then just washing it away. Some of these deaths were legitimately ours, but because of this, we just couldn't pay any of it and make a dent in the debts. This was a hard lesson and really puts a bad wrap on helping those in need. I was on section 8 when I had my first child 30 years ago. I used it as a steppingstone like it's meant for. To get on my feet and be able to support my child as a single parent. We also moved to NW Arkansas two years ago- best choice ever❤

Stephen, we live in Michigan and we owned a condo on a golf course and our Hoa was 450$ a month. We ended up selling after long debates about renting it out. So glad we didn’t rent it out. Honestly surprised that the HOA didn’t evict them sooner with all t he damage they were doing to the property and others property.

Terro ant baits work extremely well however if you don't have experience with the stuff, the ants eat the liquid and there will be many of them at once. Don't kill them, let them feed and take the terro back to the colony. Within days they will/ should all die. It's a natural substance so not harmful to pets etc. Good luck sweet family ❤

My HOA (townhouse) fee is $160/month and $550 every January which is crazy low. That covers all outside maintenance costs (landscaping, painting, driveways, pool, roadway) amongst other things. In Tampa the average I’ve seen is $400-500/month & $1k-$2k once per year. But I have seen HOA fees as high as $2k/month. Depends where you live, what HOA covers, the property (is it on a golf course, on the water, etc). $400/month is not the worst.

I am so sorry y'all were put through this! My parents went through this so much when they owned some properties years ago & they finally sold them because it was just too much trouble for them. Our HOA fees are 600 a year. There are pros and cons to an HOA. It can deter the riff raff.
PS... we are currently renting and I would NEVER do this. We have made many improvements for our landlord (with permission of course). We share 5 acres and have a lot of livestock. I also have a really really bad asthma so they allowed me to pull all the carpets out repair the flooring and lay laminate flooring down. We fixed their deck. I put in a bunch of flowerbeds and redid some landscaping. I built a huge garden out back, we dug a pond on this end of the property. When we do move- I will not only clean but will repaint and prepare this for immediate rerental. I have never left a rental dirty. I always make sure it's cleaner than when I got it.

RUclips sensors me all the time they won't let me say what I really want to say but I think it's horrifying that people live like this in this country that's horrifying I'd be the first one calling them into DCFS!!! My parents did this for a while it was awful I don't know how many times they had to go there because of some problem with their renters... The last straw was The Last renters basically stole everything😂 destroyed everything!! My parents sued the association it was a nightmare they couldn't wait to get rid of that property it drove them crazy.

Look into essential oils. That is what I use in our home. I have animals, so mix water and citrus oils or cinnamon. Hope it helps

Oh I forgot to say, you can easily fix that hole in the door. I used to get wood filler, fill in the hole try make it as level as possible, wait for it to dry, sand it down and paint over it. I know it's not a perfect fix but it works. I was constantly fixing crap he broke, having to apologise and pay for his mistakes. Never again 😂 ladies whenever you can get away, run, run as fast as you can. Life is much more peaceful alone ❤

Ooh i didnt care for the government assistance comment. Im on assistance because my fiance suffered a brain injury during a home invasion which prevented him from working and i did 24 hour care in 2021. He recovered and work began again. In 2022 he was dignosed with end stage testicular cancer that spread to his lymph nodes and started intensive chemo. Again off work for both of us and we lost our 3 bedroom house and moved into a one bedroom apt. Im sure no one really cares to hear this story lol but i felt compelled to say not everyone on assistance is a dirty person. Some, like us, had no choice but to ask for help because we didnt want to go without food and shelter.
