Yeah, the defensive healing charms are really underrated. Baldur shell, shape of unn, quick focus and deep focus all make survival much easier. It just takes longer.

Ive spent Hours doing p5 days even, I have the boss order memorized in the entire video i could only imagine how many times u have died and had to restart this run do all over again to sometimes die not for your bad skill but for game RNG, I am truly impressed and stunned by this run, I have never commented in any hollow knight video and I barely comment anywhere but this video has impressed me. Can only imagine the screams and celebration after you beat it. Congrats!! I admire your dedication and patience

Absolutely incredible! I'm still working on completing the last binding for P3 and then I'll move on to trying to clear the Pantheon of the Knight for the first time. This level of skill, patience, and precision absolutely blows me away. I know what it's like to get to one mask on a good run against a tough boss; the stress is suffocating. I hope this challenge wasn't too bad for your mental health!

I remember when I first started playing HK, Thrones used to be my favorite charm... It's been so long since then, and after that first run, I never really used it again. I'm happy to see someone else did.
I'm pretty sure the UI bug is mostly Hiveblood spaghetti code, cause it happened to me a lot during Path of Pain where I'd take a hit as soon as Hiveblood regenerated and then not get a chance to re-regenerate the mask. Very annoying when I had infinite soul AND time to heal, I can't imagine how frustrated you must have gotten.

I'm so happy someone FINALLY shouted out the grubsong+elegy+deep focus build, I've been trying to say it's the optimal build for White Palace but nobody ever listens. I've thought about making a video on it but I have no idea how to make videos.

@@meissmart6678 I've always figured Hiveblood was better for combat, since typically during tough bosses you have to wait a while before you can heal. If you have Hiveblood you can use less soul healing and more soul attacking.
Impressive ! That's some dedication if I've ever seen any. Sprintmaster is a good choice for a 1 notch charm if you don't have anything else, makes dodging attacks easier imo. Compass would have made this a breeze, glad you didn't take the easy way.
"Soul Tyrant falls squarely into the annoying camp, constantly teleporting away from my hits" as some who does %112 minimum dashes, soul tyrant is very annoying because of his teleporting
This is generally a great face tank build as well. I don't remember Elegy having that specific synergy with Grubsong. For most of P5, I would use Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Longnail, and Mark of Pride (replacing Longnail with Defender's Crest and something like Grubsong for Lost Kin). When it came to the end of P5, I would completely change my build to Quick Focus, Deep Focus, Thorns of Agony, Grubsong, and Shape of Unn (almost identical to your build), sometimes swapping Quick Focus for Unbreakable Strength or Quick Slash. It's really fascinating to know that Elegy is a viable charm in place of those 3 notch charms as well!
When I first saw the title I thought "big deal, don't people do it without *any* charms for bindings all the time?" then it struck me what you actually did haha. Well played

Baldur shell is shown in any radience to block 8 damage in the climb phase. And you also can heal using it if lucky

even without it you could heal when he spins by just going far away and he only does 1 damage so he's not the biggest threat
