I can agree with a lot of people that in some ways, they'd rather kill someone like Mystique rather than forgive them, but in my opinion, Mystique is dead already, so it's not worth the effort. Maybe she can be forgiven, but killing her would only prove that there's something to hate, when all I see is a sad shell of woman. Kurt and the others can do what they can, but in the end, only she can choose to be this way.
Prior to 2000, kids cartoons were allowed to be very dark, and have somewhat mature storylines. Children back then could grasp and process these concepts. Then Nickelodeon and Cartoon network became more influential and dumbed down children's cartoons to the degree we see today. Even the character models have been dumbed down.
The irony is not lost on anyone that Mystique whines and howls about being an outcast to Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler can't hide his face like his mother, but he's accepted because of his good heart. Mystique can change everything on the outside, but who she is on the inside will always be what keeps her an outcast even among mutants.
Facts. And to be honest Kurt has every reason to hate the world. He was thrown into a waterfall by his own mother and could have died, chased by bigots out of his own town (attempted but failed), and almost killed by one of his brothers in Christ. What excuse does Mystique have? Almost all the excuses she brought up sound self inflicted. Although being an outcast by humans is something she can't control, she always had the open invitation of friendship from Xavier and the institute. But instead wanted to go it alone and allow her pain and demons to turn her into the same people who hurt her. So glad Kurt turned out better than her. He lives with hope and happiness while she lives in misery. (Sorry of going on a whole tangent on mystique Lol)
What this clip doesn't show you is that as Mystique is about to tell him she doesn't deserve his prayers, she's shot in the arm, and it flashes back to when she's holding him above the waterfall. As she holds him, she is weeping. When Mystique falls off the bridge, Nightcrawler cries out "MOTHER!"
Mystique really thinks acting like she's disconnected from everything that exists will shelter her from a broken heart. That's why Nightcrawler feels sorry for her, he knows she wants a connection.
Yeah Rogue doesn't ask many questions. I think she doesn't even wanna know. But when Mystique and all her kids are in one room together, Rogue does tell her she's pretty shocked at how she handed over her first born to mutant haters. Then Mystique is just like well you're my favorite so 🤷♀️😅
Thats the worse punishment for someone like mystique in a life of taking and griefting she finds that her biggest shame the son that she left to the wolves instead of giving her hate to justify herself , gives her forgiveness and still she might never forgive herself because she can't conceive that kind of compassion and love
I actually liked the X-men movies because it was different but I do I just think That Jennifer Hqd More of a chance to get a moment like this but she was lazy as Fuck and destroyed the Character and the O.G Mystique Was actually going to have a Flashback where she's caressing Him on her shoulder but the Fucking Studio Scrapped it

When your child is a better parent to you than you are. Sheesh. As the saying goes "every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child."
I tell you what Nightcrawler said in the end should be told to all "deadbeat parents" that abandoned their children because of the "hardship" that it caused. OAN, Mystique is pretty attractive, the way she is. It's a shame she feels the need to shape-shift just because she feels alienated from the world.

Yikes! At least in X-Men: Evolution, Mystique really did love her son and tried to find him before he found a real family that kept him safe. This Mystique makes me want to slap her!
That’s a nice story you got there, X Men. It would be a shame if a comic book writer decades later came and ruined it for the sake of modern audiences.

@silentfangirls2954 what about Sinister? He's hatable.
As much as Night Crawler didnt appear much in the series when ever he appeared his kind heart always touched me
What this clip doesn't show you is that as Mystique is about to tell him she doesn't deserve his prayers, she's shot in the arm, and it flashes back to when she's holding him above the waterfall. As she holds him, she is weeping. When Mystique falls off the bridge, Nightcrawler cries out "MOTHER!"
2 minutes better than Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix
God bless Nightcrawler he has a heart of gold.
Kurt is so calm and wise. That's so like me: calm and Noble.
I hope Nightcrawler and Mystique’s relationship becomes a thing in the MCU
Don't count on it
@@Gundam4 Anything would be better than the non-existent crap they pulled in FOX-Men
@@Gundam4 I abandoned the films long ago.
Mystique really thinks acting like she's disconnected from everything that exists will shelter her from a broken heart. That's why Nightcrawler feels sorry for her, he knows she wants a connection.
Rogue is like "I have a brother now, Cool."
Yeah Rogue doesn't ask many questions. I think she doesn't even wanna know. But when Mystique and all her kids are in one room together, Rogue does tell her she's pretty shocked at how she handed over her first born to mutant haters. Then Mystique is just like well you're my favorite so 🤷♀️😅
Nightcrawler is too pure for this world.
Nightcrawler's reply left me gaping. What a soul! And Mystique is mean! Can't believe how they're so different....
Thats the worse punishment for someone like mystique in a life of taking and griefting she finds that her biggest shame the son that she left to the wolves instead of giving her hate to justify herself , gives her forgiveness and still she might never forgive herself because she can't conceive that kind of compassion and love
It just simply amazes me that None of the X-Men movies could stand up to a 90s Cartoon.
Sad but true.
Right?
Nah Wrong
I actually liked the X-men movies because it was different but I do I just think That Jennifer Hqd More of a chance to get a moment like this but she was lazy as Fuck and destroyed the Character and the O.G Mystique Was actually going to have a Flashback where she's caressing Him on her shoulder but the Fucking Studio Scrapped it
That's why Nightcrawler is the best character in X-Men bar none. He had the appearance of a demon but he was Far More Human than anybody in the X-Men universe.
Agreed!
This kind of brought tears to my eyes, cause goddamn, he is such a fucking saint. That’s why I like Nightcrawler.
Man this scene was so deep cudos to the producers and the writers of this show #LongLive90sCartoons
This would’ve been an amazing scene in a live action movie
Mystique is probably one of the most complicated characters in the X-men catalog.
Nightcrawler may not have been on the team during the series, but he’s always been the heart and soul of the X-men. Hopefully we will see him in ‘97!!
When your child is a better parent to you than you are. Sheesh. As the saying goes "every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child."
Nightcrawler just pulled the Jesus card on her.
I tell you what Nightcrawler said in the end should be told to all "deadbeat parents" that abandoned their children because of the "hardship" that it caused.
OAN, Mystique is pretty attractive, the way she is. It's a shame she feels the need to shape-shift just because she feels alienated from the world.
its the great thing about xmen,, they use anaology of real life, she feels judged by her skin color....make sense?
GOT DANG IT XMEN you know how to tug the Heartstrings😢😢😢
Proof that Night Crawler is hands down a true man! XD
We need this Nightcrawler back in the modern cartoons
As long as he fights like a badass gentleman, I'm happy. 'Cause this cartoon made me fall in love with Kurt and read his comics.
Oh man this was so deep. 😢😢
You see in Mystique's eyes it killed her to lie to Kurt like that especially when Kurt constantly forgave her.
This show, omg such powerful drama and action
I wish they talked about Azazel he was pivotal to Nightcrawlers history in fact he saved him from falling into the river and is also the reason he looks the way he does
Poor Nightcrawler. Betrayed by his own mother. That's why they don't fight each other often.
Seriously man, we need this cartoon to get re-aired
All the episodes are on Disney+
Wish granted
@@Puggalugfuck Disney
Wish granted my friend, the sequel is utterly marvelous
these superhero shows were marketed as kids shows but we're so close to adult animation in terms of storylines
Night crawler is so noble
“You could have had a life with me mother”
May God give us Peace strength of his Holy Spirit!
He is so kind
hmmm no wonder she helped him in the apocalypse movie makes more sense now
1:32 the transform animation is so clean, love it❤
She straight up tried to kill he child by throwing him off the cliff into the waterfall.. and then you have Polaris faking her kidnapping to avoid having to break up with ice man.. damn the series from 30 years ago is dark.. it hasn’t aged poorly
Poor nightcrawler that's an awful way for babies to start out life nobody should abandon babies. They need lots of love and care so they can grow big and strong.
night crawler looks so cute as a baby.
Yeah well its fucking nightcrawler what did you expect
Dont know why people hated how kurt looks even its not that ugly. How dare they
Plus he is just a kind person who is being helpful and a philosopher and Catholic
I love nightcrawler, especially his Christianity!!!!!!
By the grace of God! This is the real X-Men and this is the best portrayal of them. This show features the most accurate portrayals of the characters and is loaded with some of the best writing you'll ever witness.
Nightcrawler is awaited in Heaven by the Father and the Son and a host of Angels.
Nightcrawler is so sweet
love nightcrawler the original xmen movies really did him justice
I tell you what, Mystique really is the center spoke of the X-Men conspiracy chart. Either that or she has the level of drama often associated with a Days of our Lives character
I've never knew anything about Night Crawler or Kurt Wagner until now,the ever first thing I saw night crawler was in either X-MEN UNITED or X-MEN EVOLUTION I've never saw him in this series atall when I was little.😔
I’ve never seen this version of Juggernaut when I was little, I saw this version of Nightcrawler as a kid and thought that even in this he’s very sweet
@@marvelfanatic9535 rw:you can say that again, most especially when Wolverine reads the Bible at a Church, thats a rare occasion.
@@jasontachin yes it was, I’m surprised they put that in a cartoon! I was also impacted when Rogue cried tears of joy when she saw Wolverine praying
@@marvelfanatic9535 rw:now theres something you dont see everyday.^_^
@@jasontachin well, as a kid; I always thought of Rogue as a strong Christian woman in the comics.
He gave her the ultimate come back lol
I've always wondered what mystique is wearing around her waist. A belt made up of shrunken heads, or a sash made out of baby vampire skulls. Or something edgy she found at a market stall?
Yikes! At least in X-Men: Evolution, Mystique really did love her son and tried to find him before he found a real family that kept him safe. This Mystique makes me want to slap her!
I love Night Crawler's back story.
i mean , if you think about it, without mystique , nightclawer will never exist.
he's after all, the son of mystique.
Nightcrawler a kind person that dose not use his region on anyone he use the wise words of forgiveness
Nightcrawler looks so cute as a baby.
Dame, NightCrawler is my freaking favorite Xman!
That’s a nice story you got there, X Men. It would be a shame if a comic book writer decades later came and ruined it for the sake of modern audiences.
Wait, you mean Azazel the demon being Nightcrawler's father instead of some guy? no, that's not what you meant.
Oh dear...... I see it now. Incredibly stupid change. It makes the Azazel retcon look fantastic by comparison.
@@Archedgar Yep, Marvel’s recent retcon of Nightcrawler’s parentage was repugnant and asinine.
@@KingNazaru Well said.
...holy crap. Nightcrawler is awesome. How did i not see this episode as a kid?
I remember watching this as a kid. Epic for a cartoon.
Mystique I know would never scream 'please don't hurt me' like a baby lol
/Mystique is a manipulator by nature, she had don't hurt me reaction for Kurt to feel sorry for her...
Actually his father was Azael, Marvel's version of the devil.
No Marvel's technical version of the Devil is Mephisto or Marduk (Hellstrom's father)
Azazel is a mutant who has suffered so much discrimination for his appearance that he basically did decide to become a Hell lord
In this universe. Azazel did not exist until 2001. Ultimate comic
His father. The rich Austrian man is a Racist
@@ninjasolarteam You mean the nearby superstitious villagers were racist.
I want to be like Nightcrawler. He has great character.
Again Night Crawler reminds me why he is one of my all time favorites.
This was Mystique, not the J-law bs from the movies. She was cutthroat to most people with the exception of Rogue
She was soft with Rogue but still messed her up and endangered her
Terrible parent
agreed. why would you have a kid and then just get rid of him. what if Kurt DROWNED?
That's an understatement..
mystique did it to protect night crawler
How?
Rayla Kame And too trusting as a parent
This is why I hate the live action versions of Nightcrawler. Not only were the "angelic scarrings" horrible as no person of faith would cut themselves like that, especially Nightcrawler. But they can never show how much he cares for his friends and is just a giant, kind, goofball.
Still better than the X-Men Evolution version.
