Azazel's depiction was pretty cool, but the new vs the old Nightcrawler just goes to show that stuff 20-30 years ago still is better than what they're trying to do now. CGI can't replace skill in filmmaking.
its basically nether portal travel in minecraft is the best way to describe it they dimension hop to another dimension and the space they teleport into from that dimension is farther than in earth. so basically for every 1 meter traveled in the other dimension they travel 10 meters on earth

Also, that dimension doesn’t go by the rules of conventional physics, so that means that when they go there they lose momentum and don’t get squashed by it. Everyone has a weakness, from the comments here his weakness was that his teleports exhausted him, so perhaps they caught him exhausted and just kept him too drugged to do anything.

I'd say gravity control would be more useful. Can simulate: flight by controlling your own weight and which direction you change gravity's pull, super strength by making objects weigh nothing then just throw them and black holes, create gravity barriers so even bullets can't reach you, and crush people. Graviton does all that and once even killed someone with a rock who was on the other side of the planet.

I saw this character as an attempt to duplicate the enthusiasm that Nightcrawler got in the 2003 X Men movie White House scene, so it didn't hit me as hard as it could have
I could have sworn that when Nightcrawler takes people through his dimension it would physically drain them. Like teleporting once was fine, but if he did it over and over again taking a person with him that person would eventually be fatigued to the point of absolute exhaustion and pass out because they aren't used to it and he is. Not sure where I got this idea in the past. I used to collect comics and X-Men cards, maybe I actually did see it somewhere? Different writers like to do different things, but if anyone could clarify I'd appreciate it.
