As we all know, Ford went through a complete body transformation from raiders to temple. The fact that he had some shirtless takes they need him to be fit (the did briefly in raiders too). Maybe the tight jacket was on purpose to show a tougher Jones. That or they just had raiders measurements.Great vid!
Thank you! It could also be the extreme hear and humidity. Leather shrinks if you get it wet and bake it in the sun.

I'm extremely intrigued about the weight of their cowhide, I have a US Wings jacket and it is like wearing a weight vest. I've always considered Steele and Jones for my next jacket but your video has convinced me that my next jacket is going to be from them.

@@riserindy I went with the lamb skin and love the grainy feel it gives with the distress. Also the sizing was from the early part of the movie the non tight version. Plus it’s fits me perfectly. So far it is my fav jacket

I have owned jackets from all of the most well known vendors including Wested and I can easily say that the two S&J jackets I own are the very best Indy jackets out there. My S&J jackets have travelled with me to Skywalker Ranch on many occasions and I have compared them to the Jackets in the archives and can safely say they capture the legacy of the movie jackets perfectly.

very nice timing - in the market for a good leather jacket and while I dont intend to dress up like Indy, he does have good choice in attire that I dont mind borrowing from.

Hey! I’m pretty sure you’re Arch, if so you already know my thoughts BUT in case it’s not I would say if you’re thin then I’d DEFINITELY go with end scene. A slimmer cut Indy jacket will look better on a slender frame. I’m a really thin guy too. I wear a 36 chest and the end scene is perfect for me. Makes my Raiders and LC feel like tents. Haha.

Thanks for watching! The jacket was $390. The hat was also made by Steele & Jones. Originally a Raiders hat, but I had it reblocked into a Temple of Doom by another fan.

I did not. I just knew I loved the look of the undertones on the lightweight cow, and Diego endorsed it.

I was curious how long it took to get after you ordered it? Does it vary or have your 3 jackets from them been pretty consistent time wise?
Hi! It all depends on their lead time. Sometimes they don’t have a lot of orders in the queue. Unfortunately, because of Dial of Destiny, their lead times are unusually long, but don’t let that stop you. I’ve waited 8 months and was just as happy as when I waited half that time. They make a great product that fits perfect, so long as you follow their detailed instructions.

Bit of a silly question, but can a phone fit in the small jacket pockets?
Thanks for watching and not a silly question at all! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max that sticks out, so you can’t close the flap. Maybe a regular iPhone would fit but I don’t have one to test. Temple of Doom pockets are really small. I don’t know why they made them that small for the movie but if you want an accurate TOD jacket you’ll need tiny pockets.
On the other hand, Last Crusade has the largest pockets. Probably to accommodate the grail diary being pulled out of Indy’s pocket by Elsa.
I always put my phone in the interior breast pocket of my jackets. It fits fine on every Indy jacket I own.
If i may ask, out of all the Indy jackets that you own, which one would you say is the best one? think materials, build quality and fit rater than screen accuracy. Thank you very much!
Hi! Thanks for watching! To answer your question my Raiders Kelso has the best materials and build quality - but I never wear it.
Steele & Jones makes a solid product but they don’t have the infrastructure of a top-notch jacket manufacturer like Bill Kelso Manufacturing. S&J is most likely using local cheap labor, but their jackets are still well made and can be worn every day and last a long time, and no one beats their fit. None of the Indy vendors customize the size like they do.
Wested is the biggest disappointment to me. They have the infrastructure yet the quality of their construction is hit or miss. My Wested Destiny is perfectly constructed but my Wested Legacy LC has a lot of QC problems. Their materials are the same. Some of their leathers are good, others are terrible. Their fit is all over the place and they have little interest in helping you get it right.
I still think S&J makes the best jacket overall. Their build quality isn’t stitch-for-stitch perfect like Kelso, but their fit is unmatched.
My two favorite jackets are both Steele & Jones, and I wear one or the other every day.
Meanwhile, my Westeds and Kelso gather dust.
