Sure, that’s a great idea! I will say that I’ve been caught in the pouring rain in the three jackets in this episode and I basically wore them until they dried - which didn’t take long. Pecard leather conditioner does help repel rain and I have treated all three jackets with it. I’ll absolutely do an episode on it, thank you! Great to hear from you!
@@HatLifeAdventures awesome man! I own an outback oilskin jacket but I’m really wanting the wested cowhide leather raiders jacket! It’s always a pleasure to talk to you man. I enjoy your advice and expertise
On the plus side, I have everything for the Indiana Jones costume, including DofD shirt and Raiders shirt, just missing the jacket, but have a Cotswold hats Indy fedora for now. Otherwise it's all from Wested Leather Co. 😊
Whats your height and what length did u order in sleeve, back and chest? i need to know what ive done ordering without tape measurement 😂 i hope i got it right otherwise i might have to resend it 😔
🤣Might be because I fluctuate my weight a lot. But it hasn’t shrunk at all. I had the cut pretty short, like an Eisenhower jacket. Always liked the style of that jacket.
Jacket #2 "Officially Licensed" was made for a huge person. I'm sorry to be blunt, but that coat is 2 sizes too large for you. The sleeves are so large (length and around) unfortunately it is not a style for someone of your modest physique, but someone much larger. I'm not an Indiana Jones freak (though I am a fan) and I realize his fan jackets are made on the bulky large size (since Harrison's was), that one is what I call a "trade jacket". Being a jacket freak and a Taylor myself, fit is paramount and while your other two are also too large, that 2nd one is just huge. My style is no extra fabric; makes one look fat. I know, I'm in the minority, but I'm also trim so I don't wear oversized clothes and I am a jacket expert of a sort. Your Indy jacket is large in the waist because your model jacket from 20 years ago is also large by a few inches. I saw you cross the front with your hands in your pocket; you should be not able to do that with a jacket that fits (see the back where the fabric sticks out - too much fabric in the waist). If you see that in a store, grab the smaller size and try it. What I do is wear what I'm in love with at the time, then I pass it along and get something new I love in its place, hence trading one for the other. Or if I can't resist and buy one, then go to the closet and pick out my least favorite, and online it goes for sale. If I kept them all, I could never wear them (I'm in FL - 1 month of winter, 60 degrees). I sell cheap, as I have already enjoyed it and do not consider what I paid for it in my pricing, however I do consider the market. So I have a rule now; buy a jacket, sell a jacket. Sold two on eBay last month! I've replaced only one of them, so that's good. A jacket you're not going to wear is one you should pass on to someone who will love it like you did once. Having two alike and only wearing one is a waste. Buying a new leather jacket is not my first choice, so finding one in a thrift store or auction is a great place to look. I wear a 40, so a 38 generally fits great! I've seen enough Wested Indy jackets that if I were to buy one, I'd subtract at least 1"-2" inches from all measurements to ensure a good fit. I have yet to see one that fits perfect, and trust me I would know. Thanks for the video!
@@HatLifeAdventures You look pretty trim to me! Hey, I went through the 80s and 90s when everything was big. I sold 3 more jackets on eBay since my post, and nearly bought one the other day. I guess being 89 degrees out made me think twice, but sure is good for sales. I might put a couple more up online before it gets warm up north and make some room. Leather isn't very popular in my area because of the heat, but I ride a motorcycle sometimes so I can get away with it. As a side note, Harrison Ford would have looked great in a potato sack. He could have worn anything and made it popular. I'm 152 lbs, 31" waist and I would say I wish they made them in a slim cut, but then it wouldn't be Indy so it would be pointless to alter it, but would still be a nice jacket! It's great they didn't use stretch fabric anywhere like the bombers of the time; nice piece.
Hey man do you think you could do a leather jacket care video? Like what to do when it gets caught in the rain or something!

I ordered a wested jacket way back in 2014 and it is in lambskin. Brown gorgeous outfit.
I heard that the lamb is more comfortable than the goat in higher temperatures. Do you find that to be true?
I'm looking to purchase one soon
Awesome! You’ll be very happy with it!

Sounds like you’ve got a good plan going! I’ve got a Cotswold on the way to do a review. How do you like it?

Oh! I’ll have to look for my receipt.
Looks a bit too small now?

Look sharp Black Rock leather conditioner
Thank you, I’ll have to check that out!
Thanks for watching!
I like the western jacket but it looks a tad too tight across your chest when you zipped it and move your arms.
Yeah, I gained a little poundage 🤣
Looks to short in the length

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Yes, the Lucasfilm jacket is definitely too big! My belly would disagree with the Wested being a little oversized 😅
