- Steamboat opened a new chairlift called the Mahogany Ski Lift and it accesses so much fun hard terrain. Steamboat has been making so many good moves when it comes to new ski lifts and terrain. I skied once or twice a week for 15 years straight growing up with no helmet...breck, vail, winter park, keystone, etc...bumps, jumps, cliffs, fell plenty of times...I'm fine
Yeah but what’s it worth to not where one? All it takes it for you to hit a tree or something and it’s over, even if it never happened to you it happens all the time.
I understand however, in 2017 a study published in the Journal of Ski Medicine showed there was no significant difference in the number of head injuries sustained by skiers who wore helmets versus those who did not wear them. And another study in the American Journal of Injury Control and Research in 2015 found that helmet use did not significantly reduce the risk of head injury or death among skiing and snowboarding participants. So I'm not saying a helmet is bad, just that it's not as necessary as everyone thinks and people nowadays are so scared of everything including their own shadows and they shouldn't be.😱 @@Tryingtogolf
